Evening. Never thought I'd be brave enough to join and write one of these advice things but here I am.

The thing is I met this great girl today. Well actually technically we met how should I put this "online" but we met in actualality today in Manly.

Yes it was heaps windy which was a shame but you can't choose the weather as the saying goes.

The point of all this is that I think we got on well (3, 2.5 drinks) and SHE wants me to take her out to dinner this week! WHAT KIND OF PLACES DO YOU TAKE A GOOD CLASSY GIRL OUT TO DINNER TO???

Also I'm really shy and not very popular (I used to be) and even though we met "on the internet" she seems to be. Does this ever work or do you have to change, step by step? Also she is about to go overseas for two weeks (that's why she invited me to take her out ASAP - well I'm guessing). I stuffed up something around Xmas by not seeing someone for weeks after we just met. SO I'M WONDERING DO I HAVE TO MAKE A BIG IMPRESSION LIKE A GOODBYE KISS TO HAVE ANY HOPE?

hmmmm, you met in manly. i can guess you are probably locals, which leads to me to think your idea of a good night out might be:

drinks at charlie bar, then dinner at ribs and rumps, then more drinks at that shithole the steyne. you can then cross the corso to the new brighton where you will both narrowly avoid getting glassed by 5 kiwis. you then make your way to the ivanhoe, for their crappy nightclub downstairs where the cheesy dj shits you no end so you head down to the wharf bar, manly's venue for the "coolest" ( read douchebags ) the north shore can produce. getting hungry again you risk a kebab with her at 2am where you then proceed to fight with 1000 people for 5 cabs in an attempt to get her back to your place to show her your star wars sheet set on your bed.

my advice? avoid the wasteland that is manly nite life. take her into the city etc where they have decent venues and restaurants. or try the jazz festival this weekend during the day.

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, you just explained so many of my nights out in manly to a tea! it was even better when they attempted to have proper nights when aqualounge was still open....fuck...oh wait is ceruti's still open? i remember the owner being shut down cos he was letting underage girls in and serving them booze, lol ahhh good old beachtowns.

Just to clarify a few things I had the 2.5 drinks because I was driving. So sucks to be you hey.

No I didn't stalk her beforehand but it's funny I looked her up on facebook last night and I know one her friends a little bit how whack jam is that. Come to think about it she refused to give me her email that was a little strange.

Guys it's not like she said you pay for dinner and stuff like that it was a lot cooler and I don't date girls who don't pay their fair share and trust me I've been on so many dates that I met through "online dating" it's not funny so I think I would know.
