I just bought and downloaded microsoft office but it doesnt have outlook (the trial version on my new laptop did ). When I try to get it from the microsoft site you have to buy another version of office.

Is there anywhere I can download just outlook?

Thanks

Microsoft Office includes;

Powerpoint
OneNote
Office
Excel

Outlook is a seperate product, you can find it in stores for $98 by itself.

actually there are a few different versions of office. The standard edition doesn't have outlook

small business edition & professional edition both have outlook included.

It works out cheaper to buy Office and then the Small Business Upgrade rather than Small Business outright.

why not use Microsofts Live Mail instead - It's free, and does everything outlook does plus more..

I didn't think MS were supporting outlook anymore anyway (?)

I use Lotus Notes and Gmail, but http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/ is also worth considering.

Lotus Notes makes huge amounts of sense if you are a multi national corporation. It's fail otherwise.

thats what I thought.. But Live Mail is pretty much exactly the same as Outlook anyway - and it's dead simple to get Windows Live Mail (It's free) - So not supporting outlook isn't really that big a deal

tell you what though - I'm loving Gmail this week.. One of my domains that I own was getting way too much spam (plesk w/ spam assasin = crap spam filtering) - So I funneled it through a gmail account, then back into my domains mail client.. Gmail spam filtering is a win! Reduced my spam 99%
