After the last Sideways we have brought in some very special friends of ours and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do, we also have some fresh blood with ADZE getting to play after having been in the UK for the last couple of years.

BUMP DJ’s
Bump djs are identical twin duo Mike and Manny. They have established themselves solidly in the Sydney techno/min/wonky house club/underground/warehouse party scene, which has a dedicated and hard partying crowd of knowledgeable punters who will simply not stand for inferior djing skillz.

Coming from a hip hop turntableist background M&M work the mixer and the crowd with drops/cuts/blends/ and QUALITY techno that makes people MOVE. Never boring, always fresh, and with a smile on their face BUMP DJs KNOW how to rock a techno club…..

Supports include, making sure the dancefloor is heaving for, the likes of Paul Ritch, Luca Bacchetti, Radioslave, Worthy, James Zabiela, Simon Baker to name just a few of our favourites. BUMP djs are current residents at Finely Tuned the reincarnation of the now defunct but infamous Lost Baggage – where BUMP DJs became the benchmark of the Sydney techno sound…

Yohan Strauss
Originally from Sydney, Yohan is beginning to make a name for himself in the Canberra music scene. Playing from the Deep House, Tech House and Techno spectrum, he is currently a resident at Hippo Lounge and Transit Bar where he runs Mingle@Transit with Nick Dennett. Along with Gabriel Gilmour he is now co-director of Effigy Entertainment, which are promising big things in Canberra in the coming year. Apart from Transit and Hippo Yohan has played at several venues including Knightsbridge, Lot 33, Kremlin Bar and anu Bar. He has supported several established artists including Tiger Stripes, Zoo Brazil, Marlo, Mark Dynamix and Matt Rowan.

ADZE
Adam Eastman is a Sydney born and bred DJ who acquired his first set of decks in his late teens after thinking there was a severe lack of the music he loved at his friends house parties. His first gig saw him hold down a 5-year residency and also pick up endless gigs at some of Sydney’s finest music institutions of the time, including the Globe, Gas, and Moreton’s among others. He has held a number of other residencies from the Arthouse Hotel to the monthly warehouse style HAHA parties. His musical taste over the years has seen him play everything from deep jazzy house through bumping Chicago house and now the deeper pulsing sounds of tech-house, minimal and techno.

Recently he returned from a 2-year stint in London where he was able to push the boundaries at numerous parties with the sounds he loves and bring back with him the passion to push the scene forward in his home town.

Chris Combe
Sunday School & now Sideways resident Chris Combe has bee slowly plying his trade with a minimal amount of fuss, he is one of Sydney nicest DJs and it shows with he fun filled “techno fist” pumping sets.

Chris’ style incorporate a funky blend of tech house, minimal and techno, more bouncy that a trampoline on acid. Chris’ previous gigs include Finely Tuned, The Likes Of You, BUNKER, Spice, Shrug, Deep as Fu*k, Red [Box], Faction, Chemistry, Subservice, Trigger [Swarm], The [Box], Mingle @ Tranist (Canberra) and FKN Mafia Parties.

He has also played alongside some of the best artists in the business including Minlogue, Mark Romboy, Peter Gun, Michel Cleis, Big Daddy, Daniel Dreier, Peter Juergens, Carlos Gibbs, Mike Acetate, Deepchild, Robbie Lowe, Trinity, Glitch DJs, Defined By Rhythm, Jimmy Posters, Bump DJ’s, Nick McMartin, Dopamine, Mic Doney, Kate Doherty and Luke Le Mans amongst others.

Dave Stuart
As a DJ Dave’s style could be summed up in one word…DEEP…whether it be House, Tech-House, Progressive, Minimal, Techno, or just straight up Deep House. Dave has supported several International acts including; Justin Martin, Paolo Mojo, and Daniel Dreier. And has played at most venues in Sydney, including; Civic Underground, The Bunker & The Cross (The Bourbon), Favela, ARQ, The Cave (Chinese Laundry), Brown Alley (Darkbeat – Melbourne), Pretty Simple @ Ffour (Melb)

just sorting all of that out now, hoping to hear back from them in the next day or so and will then let you know ASAP. If we can't get both up for one weekend then it will be Manny first and then Mikey another Sideways. Since they are living in Melb now its a little more expensive to get them up to Sydney...

just confirmed that it will only be Manny playing at Sideways this month, we will get Mikey up in another few months.

Manny has promised to swap t-shirts half way through to give the illusion that Mikey is playing What a devoted twin hahah.

yeah ideally the list is already complete but if anyone has any probs they can just send a mail in and we can add them last minute or call me on the night and we can get everyone sorted...

whilst some people may not have the best opinion of the bourbon they are certainly being quite accepting to Sideways and letting us have free entry for all to enjoy.

also looks like I will be on at BUNKER this Sunday closing the Terrace with some groovy tech, bring your glasses!!
