Reach for the lasers at the valley train station
While waiting on platform 4 of Fortitude Valley (formerly Brunswick Street) train station for the last train home tonight, I noticed a whole bunch of these things spaced out across the ceiling:
 They're not security cameras, there are separate black dome thingies elsewhere on the ceiling for those, and they were pointed away from the platform so wouldn't see anything worthwhile, and clearly had some kind of refractive lens on the end. They appear to be some kind of swivelling, pivoting spotlight (not lasers like I said in the thread title, lol I lied) but were not in use. What the hell are nightclub lights doing in a train station? Next Kana party maybe?

When they are on, they project an image (advertisment) that moves around, spins etc, on the wall just accross from the platform.

They are gurn detectors.
