A private audience with...... Tritonal!!

Aight.. I know this is a long shot... So it looks like at the moment that Tritonal don't have a Brissy gig secured... I'm dead set keen to see them here, and I reckon the trance scene needs a bit of a boost... And I can't really afford another weekend out of town with Aly and Fila and Sensation...

I'm waiting to hear back on exact avail. dates and set fees, but looks to be end of November/early December and I'm guessing around $2,000 for the set fee..

I'm new to this private audience thing, but here's how's it worked before..

http://www.inthemix.com.au/forum/sho...ivate+audience

I'll start by pledging $200

Invincible Sun is without doubt one of my favourite trance tunes of the year. As many would appreciate, it's not exactly my favourite genre anymore, but certain tunes like this still get me everytime. Some might, but I will certainly never forget why I fell in love with the genre to begin with. Absolutely amazing track.

Media Player

Seeing Chad and Dave play a set in Brisbane would be awesome. Consider me down for $50 mate.

Alright... Dates are 27th Nov or 5th Dec.... Set fee is $3,000 but I reckon if we can get enough, we can get them down to $2.5K...

On this sort of notice I think you might have to search for something a bit left-field, or maybe a new establishment? Something that wouldn't have a full roster of weekend acts yet?

Otherwise put them on at somebodies pad and charge entry for a BYO/house party

I'm still thinking about it,
However with such short notice I do worry about making all the money back.
The main issue is competeing with all the stuff that is coming up in november/december.
Sasha, Sterosinoc, even Jaytech.

How long is the set for $3k?

Would they bump it down at all if they knew the circumstance etc?

Surely him earning another 2-2.5k while he's here would be more beneficial than not

hmm perhaps a dual head to head on the 20th with Jaytech?
However I would need at least 300ppl at $15/$20 to make it feasible

Yeh but would $300 other people?
I thought 300ppl would pay $20 to see Agnelli & Nelson, and that was almost a complete disaster

Well okay, but obviously Family can take hits all day if they want.

It sucks when smaller promoters who put on interesting/different acts face getting hosed. Unfortunately the prospect is very real when putting on trance in Brisbane.

I like this whole grassroots idea though.

Well the basic idea behind lemon & lime is to deliver 100% pure trance and progressive. No hard dance, no hardstyle. On top of including some of Brisbane's lesser known dj's.
The main issue i see with a lot of private promoters is they either do all the same thing, or the deviate from their original formula. Which in turn just confuses people.
I do strongly believe that Lemon & Lime will grow to be one of the most successful trance & prog nights in Australia.
I'm in this for the long hall, I have artist already booked up till march of 2010, and things at this stage are only looking up.

I can arrange a venue for minimal cost, but the issue is cost.
I can pledge $100.
Who esle is in?

If We can get close to $2000 pledged then I will take on the event for Lemon & Lime, and just use door takings to cover the rest.

Someone that has the room for a house party or an afternoon terrace party would be sick! BYO booze makes it so much cheaper.

This may be getting a fair bit ahead of ourselves but if it were an afternoon gig we would need a warm up DJ yes? Are you up for donating your time for that as well Angus? Haven't heard/see you play as yet

Ahh the possibilities are endless really... Quite excited by all this. lol

Hehehe.... I would honestly love to do it... I've had a pretty happy 12 months though if all did happen I wouldn't have any shame in passing this one up and letting someone else have a go
