x whatever we are up to.

FYI, it is an early start:

Liam Finn - 6.00pm - 6.30pm
Ben Harper - 7.00pm - 8.00pm
Pearl Jam - 8.30pm

Do you think there is any chance of Ben joining PJ on stage...?

SICK! Only time I saw PJ, like fucking moons ago, Eddie had been hanging out with Tim and Neil Finn at the beach during the day, got caught in a rip and nearly drowned! Anywho, Tim and Neil joined them on stage and they closed the set with 2 Split Enz tracks + a collab on a PJ track...was pretty fucking speesh!

First time I saw PJ was the tour they did just after they brought out 'Yield'. Was a fucking great show.

I saw them again the last time they toured and they were a bit disapointing. Eddie was so drunk, he kept forgetting the words to the songs and a couple of times sang the wrong verses at the wrong time.

I hope he's a bit more professional tonight.

That sounds very much like the concert I went to

I have a mate that follows Pearl Jam on every tour. He was at the Perth and Adeliade concert and he said to expect an amazing show

Reviews? Would love to have gone... Saw them at Sidney Myer Music Bowl in about '95 or something and one of the best gigs I have been to.

fkin awesome

played a great selection of tracks across all albums

i thought the sound was pretty good considering the venue

plus smuggling in a 375g bottle of beam helped avoid the long bar queues

Holy shit! Did they do 'Mankind'? Stone Gossard on vocals? Never heard them do it live.

Never heard them do 'Glorified G' live either.

edit - You're not THE joffa are you? lol

Great show, but I must say i think the more intimate environment of Rod Laver 3 years ago suited Pearl Jam better.

I thought Etihad was too large and there was heaps of space which kind of created for a slight lack of atmosphere.

Cant complain though, Eddie was in great form and the sound was very good wherever you were situated in the stadium I thought.

I much prefer etihad to rod laver areana actually! But i do kinda see your point. It was a shame that it had been raining because when the roof is open (as it was for U2 a few years back) it looks amazing. Was surprised they didn't play Better Man also, but I guess you can't play everything.

I also thought they stadium was too big for it. Too much open space. Great sound though. Eddies voice was amazing.

No hard sun is disappointing, who cares if its eddies song. No better man either, arguably their biggest song.

Apart from that you can't complain.great set list

I dont think they would ever play Hard Sun and I must be in a minority in thinking Betterman is one of their most overrated songs.

Highlights - Glorified G, Given To Fly, Corduroy and the 10 min version of Porch.

Lowlights - Being in the fixer section and not being able to see the stage - first in best dressed I guess.
