Yeah I'm definitely keen. We're just trying to figure out if we can afford it/fit it in. Not that fussed about Pulp, think they're playing Glasto anyway, but last year's line up was epic.

I'm going for the second year running.

The lineup is not as good as last year just yet, but there's still some quality there, it'll be good regardless.

I strongly urge anyone considering to go, to go. It's an amazing festival.

Last year's line up was ridiculous. This will be my first time there, if you have any tips or advice that would be good.

Okay here's a few quick things, will add more if i think of them:

- If you're coming from Berlin which most people are book the buses from either Shoenefeld Airpor or Haubtbaunhof main station, its much easier than the trains and only about 15 euros. Cooltours do it and some other company, all the details are on the melt website.

- Drugs are scarce if you're into that sort of thing, so i suggest sorting yourself out in Berlin before the festival as no one is willing to share once you get there.

- Try and bring as many supplies (food, drinks PLENTY of water etc) with you, once you get there its about an hour round trip to the nearest supermarket.

- You can bring as much alcohol as you want to the campsite but not into the festival. dont bother bringing beer, itll just go warm theres no ice anywhere. Get tetrapack juices and vodka and just mix them. If your thifty buy some ducktape and cut a small hole mix some vodka in then tape up the hole, as long as its still sealed you can bring it into the festival. All the germans do it.

- Eat at least 5 2 euro kebabs.

Thats all i can think of for now, will add anything else i think of.

Thank daniel. Buses definitely sound better than the train and the alcohol info will be very useful.

5 kebabs shouldn't be a problem.

I'm going to Exit before and this lineup is looking heaps better so far.

What day did you arrive last year, and how far away from the festival was your campsite?

I didn't get there untill friday afternoon, but some freinds got there thursday and saved a spot about 20 mins from the festival.

Anywhere in the campsite is minimum 20 - 30 minute walk so once you go in, you arent coming back untill the morning.

If you can get there thursday go for it, everyones having mini parties so get involved.. although its hot during the days so 4 full days could be a bit much. I was happy with arriving friday but we would have been alot further away without our freinds saving a spot on thursday.

Hope this helps, any other questions let me know

Do you need to camp at this festival, or is there somewhere nearby you can stay?

Did this 2 years ago and we had a car. Very easy to get to and from. Traffic wasnt that bad we arrived on the Thurs nite so was pretty good. Only bad thing is trying to remember where you parked your car.
Good thing about having a car was the friday nite it rained and we just went back and slept in the car. Also with a car there was the option to drive to Berlin to pick up supplies and just cruise around whihc we did as we havent been Berlin so by nite we partied by day we drove to Berlin.
Easily one of the best festivals ive been to and no one parties harder than the Germans. The 24hour red bull tent is pretty awesome too for a kick on!
