Anyone using absolute (14 bit) Midi in ableton?
I was using standard 7bit midi but i could hear the stepping between values as i did things like change the cutoff frequency.

I'm attempting to use 14bit midi instead which has much higher resolution but i've ran into a problem. I have my controller (bcr2000) sending midi in 14bit absolute values, and when i map it i select absolute (14 bit) down the bottom left of screen and it looks like it's going to work...

but then i twist the knobs and i get no joy. The midi indicator light up the top right illuminated/flashes but nothing happens.

Anyone else ran into this?

I fixed it. You need to be using parameter values betwee 0-31 to use 14bit midi. I'm trying to eliminate the stepping when twisting knobs by adding resolution to the encoders.
