Fark off ****.

I'd like to see them win it. Can't stand Eli being the better QB with more SB rings. Go Peyton! even if it means you have to go through the mighty Patriots.

Dating back to 2009, the team that played the Eagles in Philadelphia's home opener has gone on to win the Super Bowl that season. That's four years in a row, and that's incredible enough. And who, pray tell, did the Eagles play in their first game at the Linc this season? The San Diego Super Chargers, now just three wins from a Lombardi Trophy.

Right, misread you. Still I'd be saving my money, it's a pretty weird stat though.

Auburn laying the smackdown. They did this to all the good QB's this year. They should have been favourites.

The commentators mentioned four teams all played wildcard weekend and made the SB
I didn't realise they all played the Eagles

So Eagles fans claims that Andy Reid didn't win a Super Bowl was bullshit. He won plenty and spread the love round half the fucking Country

I'll take any of them over Podlesh. **** ranked 33rd in punt average this year meaning, not only were all first choice punters ahead of him but somewhere there is a backup beating him. Anybody know any teams with a backup punter FFS?

The Cutler deal is looking quite team friendly by the looks of it - http://my.chicagotribune.com/#sectio.../p2p-78799102/

Quote:

According to multiple sources that have reviewed the contract, the Bears included an "automatic conversion" clause that allows the club to create salary-cap space as needed moving forward.

Cutler signed a $126.7 million, seven-year contract that includes $54 million guaranteed. His base salary for 2014 is $22.5 million, meaning his salary-cap number is identical. But the team can convert a portion of that base salary to a signing bonus at any time, money that would be prorated over the life of the contract, thus lowering his cap hit for this season.

Basically allows cap room if interesting FA opportunities come up or pay off more of Cutler's guaranteed money if there's no need for more cap space.

No last year I thought it was a lock that the Broncos beat baltimore.. this year, im not so confident.

The welker comment was referring to the fact that when we lost on the thurs night game there was no welker.

Bronco's don't need a slot guy like Welker. Sure he's a good addition to the team but they have proven that their offence is just as potent without him.. The more you can get the ball into Decker or the two Thomas' the better.

Montee Ball is starting to come on a bit too. Next year will just be more of the same in Denver.

Nah, the Broncos are a much more potent offence with Wes there. Peyton has the same telepathy thing going on that Welker had with Brady. The number of times Welker has made a big reception on third down this season is just nuts.

$10 on Chargers to win the Superbowl paying $21.

$20 multi on New England, Seattle, Carolina -1 and Chargers paying like $13.20 or something.

Do any of you see the Colts beating the Pats?

We have so many injuries I'm wary that we will be unable to take Hilton out of the game. IF we can;t shut him down he will burn us like he did the Chiefs. Our Offence is hurting without Gronk... and our defence is without its three best players. I expect to lose to the Bronco's if we make the AFC CHampionship game... but I can see the Colts kicking a game winning FG to win this week, and that's going to hurt. A lot.

Pats will beat Colts and then lose to the Chargers to keep all my bets alive.

But seriously I think the Broncos will lose this week. Chargers know how to beat them.

In other news. . .

a mate of a mate of a mate has an ad in the running to be broadcast during the Superbowl - they're down to the final four and the final winner will be chosen by popular voting.

I think it's the only non-US ad that has made the final four.

So if you have a minute or two to spare click:

https://www.doritos.com/base/finalis...4398&tab_id=14

The ad is a pretty good one.

Interesting stats posted on NFL.com

10 - Manning vs. San Diego
Peyton Manning has faced six teams multiple times in the playoffs. The Chargers are the only one of those teams Manning has not defeated (0-2).
Manning has a losing record against only four quarterbacks (minimum five starts, including postseason), and has gone 4-5 against Philip Rivers.

9 - Super Bowl predictor
The Colts and Patriots met in the postseason three times in four seasons from 2003-2006. The home team won each game, and all three went on to win the Super Bowl.

8 - Revenge of the Saints
The Seahawks beat the Saints in Week 13, 34-7. During that trouncing, the Saints had only 188 yards of total offense, the fewest yards gained by New Orleans in any game since 2003. The 27-point margin was the second worst in the Sean Payton/Drew Brees era, and the seven points scored tied for the fewest in the Payton/Brees era. Brees' 147 passing yards was his lowest total in a complete game since Week 17, 2006.

7 - Philip Rivers
With a career passer rating of 96.0, Philip Rivers is the highest rated quarterback in NFL history not to have advanced to the Super Bowl (min. 1500 attempts). Rivers is ranked fourth on the all-time passer rating list, behind Super Bowl winners Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning and Steve Young.

6 - Running quarterbacks
This game will feature the two QBs with the most rushing yards and rushing touchdowns since Colin Kaepernick became a starting QB in Week 11, 2012. Kaepernick has 1,124 yards rushing, while Cam Newton has 972 yard in that span. Newton has 10 rushing TDs to Kaepernick's nine during that period.

5 - Patriots in the postseason
After starting his career with 14 wins in his first 16 playoff games, Tom Brady has gone 3-5 in his last eight playoff games, starting with the Patriots' 17-14 loss to the Giants in Super Bowl XLII. Brady's overall postseason record is 17-7.
The Patriots are 11-3 at home in the playoffs under Bill Belichick. After starting 8-0 under Belichick, the Patriots are just 3-3 in their last 6 home playoff games.

4 - Chargers defense
John Pagano's Chargers defense held the Broncos under 400 yards of offense in both of their games this season. The Broncos offense had over 400 yards in every other game this season.

3 - Short quarterbacks
Drew Brees (6'0") and Russell Wilson (5'11") will tie for the shortest combined height of starting QBs in the postseason, since 1950. Their combined height of 11'11" matches that of Fran Tarkenton (6'0") and Pat Haden (5'11"), who matched up in playoff games between the Vikings and Rams in both 1976 and 1978. Otto Graham (6'1") of the Browns squared off in the playoffs against Travis Tidwell of the Giants (5'10") in 1950. The only matchup won by the shorter QB was the 1978 Divisional Round game, when Haden's Rams beat Tarkenton's Vikings, 34-10.

2 - One and done
The Seahawks are looking to reverse a negative trend for No. 1 seeds in the NFC, who have been "one and done" in four of the last six seasons (2011 Packers, 2010 Falcons, 2008 Giants, 2007 Cowboys).

1 - Panthers defense
The Panthers had the best scoring defense at home in the NFL this season. They gave up only 12.0 PPG, which was almost 2 points better than the Seahawks, at 13.8 PPG.

Here's one other interesting note on Chargers at Broncos (as well as Saints at Seahawks): Since the 2005 playoffs, No. 6 seeds are 5-2 versus No. 1 seeds. Wrap your brain around that tidbit.

The best part about the chargers game is I don't have to get up at 5am this time around

Great start by the Colts

1st minute - turnover and TD to the Patriots

Andrew Luck is more a franchise fuck up so far

Yay 2nd drive 3 and out - way to go Colts
