Pretty lackluster performance in the T20 last night -- both batting and in the field. Dropping Rossouw on 5 was the biggest turning point. They'd have had SA at 2 for 5 and under real pressure. Instead he went on to hit 78 and they never looked uncomfortable in the chase.

On another topic, the ODI team have changed their colours back to gold because it was what we were wearing the last time we won the tournament

And Misbah hit his 3rd ton in 3 innings, 101, 101, 102. Pakistan broke all kind of records yesterday.

Also the Kiwis got more swing in 2 overs than the Aussies did an entire series.

Rohit Sharma going gangbusters against Sri Lanka in an ODI. And not on a tiny ground either.

Out on the last ball: RG Sharma c Jayawardene b Kulasekara 264 (173b 33x4 9x6) SR: 152.60

whats wrong with that squad??? Coulter-Nile and Hazelwood were the in form bowlers of the Matador cup. I am not sure Hazelwood is ever going to cut the mustard for the Aussies but I see Coulter-Nile settling in well.

Cant wait to see Johnno take off Dale Steyn's fucking head tomorrow night with a painful set of bouncers!!!!!!!!!

Epic innings by Sharma... Funnily enough, not that many 6s (9 is a lot but for such a high score I was expecting around the 15 mark)

But 33 fours... Just shows you don't always have to go the glory to belt the living suitcase out of the opposition.

His individual score was better than Sri Lankas team score. Wonder if that has ever happened before?

Smith has been our most consistent player for a while and he's one of the only players in form right now. Dropping him is retarded. Do you really think Wade is the 2nd best keeper batsman in the country right now? Coulter-Nile is like Starc.... can be awesome occasionally but when he's bad he's really bad. Not sure about Hazelwood yet.

yeah Smith out is strange but probably more that his part time bowling is not of any use on the Perth pitch, would think he will play the last 3 ODIs.

Wade is a spastic but had a somewhat decent summer last year. I would love to see Tim Payne cement himself as our keeper but I wonder if he is still 100% fit yet...

His first 50 was from 72 balls and the rest were less than 26 each. Also the last off 16 balls, insane.
Reading comments on fb and of course people whinge 'Indian dust bowl with small boundaries', except that it's the second largest cricket stadium (seating wise) in the world. So that makes it even bigger, could explain why so many 4s rather than 6s.

On the Australian squad, where's Clint McKay gone? He has been our best ODI bowler for ages?

In the Matador Cup Hartley averaged 57.57, Paine 49.80 and Dunk 67.16

Wade averaged 16.83

Yeah but watch him do sweet fuck all for the next year. Ishant Sharma is more consistent.

Anyway Clarke has done his hamstring again. Fark.

Clarke out of the India series.

Not bad, we will see how we go when he is gone, and a young guy can get a game.

Burns please, he has scored a mountain of runs this season.

hope Ferguson gets a go! Really want him to take off as an established Aussie cricketer, should've already been that since a few years ago, would be a great no 5 imo

ps - yesterday's game was pretty poor - sick of seeing Aaron Finch going out the same way over and over again.

Piggy was a gun last night. Looked utterly exhausted at the end of his innings though hence the awful shot.

Forks is brilliant, I've said that all along.

Also Matty Wade has been pretty good this series. He has batted for the conditions of the match. I think they should develop him into a specialist ODI batsman keeper and have a proper keeper just for tests.

I thought we were gone at 5/98

but such mature batting from Piggy and Wade who dug in and got settled so Faulks could come smash it around! and as Bailey said in the interview afterwards, our bowlers deserve a lot of credit. SA should've made 300 and AB realised they were 30 short. keeping them to 50 off last 10 over was excellent

ps - piss poor crowd, 14000. No General Admission, exam time and Friday in November will do that.
