Got 5 and a bit weeks before i go overseas, i wanna get under 90 kg !!!

I hate doing this shit because i believe that slower is way better. But 1 and a bit kg a week isn't horrible. Just carbed up hard on the weekend like ate everything i craved and im ready to go.

Thanks mate, have been logging in MyFitnessPal for 40+ days, but this macro ratio stuff is a new concept that sounds like I need to look into.

A big thing to remember with fat burning is that if you have too many carbs in one sitting (I keep a figure of about 25g in my head for some reason, not sure how scientific that is), you have an insulin response. This means you don't burn fat effectively for a couple of hours afterwards.

The only time you shouldn't worry about that is immediately (20 minutes or so) after a workout, when the glycogen gets utilised directly by the muscles & makes for a better workout next time (also helps reduce cravings for carbs later I've noticed).

Getting to know your macros & putting them into a food diary helps you wrap your head around all of it.

Actually, doing RFL for the last few weeks has really opened my eyes up to how badly I really was eating. I didn't think I ate too bad, but not having to deal with bloating or feeling sick all afternoon has really made me think about what I am eating. Types of food, portions etc. everything seems to be making sense.

I think that after many years, my food/diet woes are over, and it's all finally starting to sink in!

Had my first DEXA scan this week.

In summary total weight is 78.6kg - made up of 3.3kg bones, 7.2kg fat, and 68.1kg lean mass. Body fat is 9.2%

Reason behind getting a DEXA scan is that during my off season in a couple of months time when I'm not running as much I want to really challenge my calorie intake and gym routine and see if I can put on another few kgs. Ideally I'd like to increase the lean mass amount and keep the body fat % as low as possible, but upping the milk intake with it's time and cost effect I'm not going to worry too much.

Goal weight is 81.6kg to 83.6kg.
