currently planning another asia trip.

looking at bangladesh, bhutan, maybe a lil india and then myanmar. it would be perfect if you could border cross india into myanmar but you can't

yeah, the whole west and north is going to be locked up for a very long time.

2006 they laughed at me when I said I wanted to do a trek in the northern mountains.

just sucks because i'll have to make at least 2 more flights, originally i was hoping i could take a train from bhutan into that little pocked of india between them and then cross the border but nope.

so i can fly paro back to dhaka to yangon. or paro to kalcotta or something, but then i think i'd have to go via singapore or bangkok to get to yangon.

Nice one Rancho, looks like a really interesting trip! Bhutan is going to be pretty fascinating no doubt, looks like an amazing place! Burma also looks pretty incredible, but it's a shame about the restrictions in place for most of the country..

I'm planning a trip in India myself for the end of this year - flights are bought, just got to organise internal travel (mix of train / flights) closer to the date. Don't think I've ever been as excited about a holiday before - especially re: Varanasi & Jodhpur (from a photography perspective).

Actually, might need to get in touch with you re: Sigma lenses again. I'm tossing up between upgrading my Canon 50/1.4 to the Sigma or the 50L, or alternatively picking up the Sigma 85mm as a portrait lens (though I have my 135L for most things)

Will drop you an email depending on where I end up!
