Justin's a cool guy and he certainly plays techno. His Live PAs were things of legend in the early 00's down here. He used to have a girlfriend who was a Melburnian so he's spent a fair bit of time here.

Between work, moving house and laptop/iPhone issues I haven't had a chance to listen to any music for a while. Finally checked out the last few podcasts and Kr!z' is AMAZING!!!!

Perc & Fengler's are great too, but I was pretty underwhelmed by Heiko Laux

Yeah that Kr!z one is special, I've been caning that and the PAS one whenever I've needed to write a stack for uni. ~5 hours of techno between them, pretty sweet.

I think Slaters may just be my favorite CLR podcast of all time. It's a tie with the first Function and one of Klocks

Too many good ones to mention. But what I do want to say is Developer still hasn't done a CLR mix yet and I've been waiting for that for years. Have a listen to his RA mix.

From LA He's a lot better than the guys from Droid behaviour. He has his own label where he releases his tracks but also on Semantica which in my mind is one of the most underrated techno labels at the moment. Svreca is doing wonders with it.

Nothing wrong with Droid mate. It's one of the best labels going around I reckon.

YEAH, IT'S MONDAY AGAIN... 8TH OF OCTOBER 2012! WELCOME TO THE CLR PODCAST 189 WITH A DJ SET FROM PETER VAN HOESEN! ENJOY...

CLR Podcast 189 – Peter Van Hoesen

It is Monday the 8th of October and we have Peter Van Hoesen back on the CLR Podcast. Apart from being a prolific and widely respected electronic music producer, Peter is also well-known as a DJ, Live Act and the label owner of his Time To Express imprint - where he just released his second artist album 'Perceiver'. With this versatile and highly textural album he continues his work as a busy activist in modern electronic music. Peter enjoys performing as a DJ and as a Live Act, fusing his love for playing records with his hardware-led approach to creating sound. He not only presents contemporary, room filling and dramatic techno, but can range into house, melodic moments, broken beats and atmosphere-lifting classic 80s/90s vibes. From Berghain and Panorama Bar, to the cult Labyrinth Festival in Japan, to Fabric, Trouw or The Bunker, Peter's extended sets, often heading into powerfully hypnotising and psychedelic moments, are always a memorable and much appreciated experience. On October 1st CLR released a massive remix-package of the track MOTOR feat. Douglas McCarthy “The Knife”, including a great remix by Peter Van Hoesen.

Tracklist CLR Podcast 189 with Peter Van Hoesen:

01 Peter Van Hoesen: Rapture's Coming
02 Yoshihiro Arikawa: Spark
03 Sigha: Couple
04 Shadows: Distorted Images - Mike Parker remix
05 Reeko: Ella 1 Segmento 1
06 Octave One: Greater Good - P.A.S. remix
07 Voiski: Ad Infinitum
08 Rrose: Cavity
09 Claude Young: The Sleeper Awakens
10 Tripeo: Trip 1
11 Truncate & Raiz: Rhythm
12 Peter Dundov: Lily Wasp
13 Terrence Dixon: Fountain of Life

Chris in great form for the 2.5 hour mix for CLR188 (or set more like it, as it was taken from a recent gig of his, not sure which)

Looking forward to listening to the extra 1 hour more deep and dubby mix he did for the episode

I don't go to be in the VIP area.. I don't need big breaks, a big song with a buildup and lights and smoke.. all you need is a kickdrum and a good bassline. You don't need any of that other shit. Na, I'm not going for none of those reasons.. I'm just going for the music.

I know what the source of the Liebing's weakness is.

Black Asteroid is one of the members of MOTOR. Liebing has been into MOTOR for a long time now (his remix of Sweatbox was off the charts).

CLR Podcast 191 - DJ Emerson

It is Monday the 22nd of October and we have DJ Emerson back on the CLR Podcast. The present two hours set was recorded at the last of his monthly Kiddaz meets Kanzlernacht events at the renowned Tresor club in his home-base Berlin. As a now respected veteran of Germany’s techno scene, Emerson struck a chord with multilayered techno; enriched in quality and indicative of his synthetic electronic style. Founder of the esteemed Micro.fon imprint, he has opened the door and brought driving techno from its barren lands to a new territory built upon groove and bounce. As a modern techno‐juggernaut of a producer, Emerson is without doubt part of a pedigree of underground artists vastly aware of a changing German music scene that sees him deliver his gritty beats and analogue architecture to dance floors with ease. One of his most recent releases is an outstanding remix he produced together with Angel Costa for CLR´s latest remix-package of MOTOR feat. Douglas McCarthy “The Knife”. In the beginning of November he will release a Double Mix CD entitled “Bass Tech 2” by himself and Torsten Kanzler. CLR Podcast 192 - Drumcell

It is Monday the 29th of October and we have Drumcell back on the CLR Podcast with a live recording containing the first two hours of one of his most recent gigs. The Southern Californian dj/producer and Droid Behavior co-founder is one of the most active Techno ambassadors in the U.S. Scene and has also been building a solid reputation in Europe with numerous successful gigs in some of the most prestigious venues. This year´s European tour is now coming to an end, but you can still catch him playing at CLR´s upcoming Halloween Party on Wednesday the 31st of October at the Butan Club in Wuppertal, and if you are in the States on November 17th you should definitely go and hear him play at Droid Behavior´s 10th anniversary party. At the end of this set you can hear his upcoming release on CLR, a fascinating, slow-burning remix of MOTOR feat. Gary Numan “Pleasure In Heaven”. He has also just finished the production of his debut album, which is currently in the mix-down phase, to be released in the beginning of 2013 on CLR. Drumcell is a technology geek and very active online, so if there is anything else you would like to know about this intriguing artist, please visit the following sites, and please watch out for the complete three hours long set, which we will release in the following days as a special download on www.clr.net

I listened to it on his Soundcloud yesterday. Shitloads of vocals. I love Monoloc, but I would of preferred more doof and less singing.

CLR Special Podcast - Monoloc “Drift”

It is Thursday the 8th of November and on the occasion of the recent release of Monoloc´s debut album “Drift” on CLR we offer you a special mega-mix including excerpts of the entirety of the featured tracks, done by Monoloc himself. Furthermore Chris Liebing, who has been actively involved in the mix-down of the album is giving you some background information regarding the production process of this outstanding long-player. Regarding the overall sound, Monoloc sticks to his origins and moves skillfully through sonic environments consisting of deep basses, noise, dark beats and quotes from all kinds of musical genres. The occasional vocal tracks grant “Drift” an atmospherically rich and diversified flow. Together with singer / producer Daniel Wilde, three songs have been crafted for this purpose, adding a deep and soulful dimension. Each one of the nine tracks works independently on its own, but it is the thoughtful combination that makes this album appear as more than merely the sum of its individual parts. “Drift” is a musically sophisticated, slow and in spite of all the love for details pleasantly dirty Techno album. We hope you enjoy this special podcast and invite you to check out the complete album, available as a digital download or CD on the following sites: CLR http://clr.net/data.pl?release=CLRCD011MP3 Beatport http://www.beatport.com/release/monoloc-drift/988183 iTunes https://itunes.apple.com/de/album/drift/id568868175 Juno Download http://www.junodownload.com/products/drift/2061803-02/ What People Play http://www.whatpeopleplay.com/?redir...Drift/id/61039 Amazon Germany http://www.amazon.de/dp/B0094M7UO4 Amazon UK http://www.amazon.co.uk/Drift-Monolo...0566775&sr=8-1 Amazon North America http://www.amazon.com/Drift-Monoloc/...0566826&sr=1-1 Decks www.decks.de/t/monoloc-drift/c0c-9r And for more information on Monoloc, please visit: facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Monolo...01082819932424 Soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/monoloc-smallroom-music RA: http://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/monoloc Listen and download special podcast here: http://www.clr.net/media.pl

CLR Podcast 194 – Daniel Wilde

It is Monday the 12th of November 2012 and we have Daniel Wilde for the first time on the CLR Podcast. Daniel is a dj, a singer and a prolific producer with a profound musical background. At the moment he has several brand-new releases out on CLR, Souvenir Music and Heinz Music. For Monoloc´s debut album “Drift” he wrote three songs, which he also sang and co-produced, adding a deep and soulful dimension to this unconventional techno long-player. The whole CLR team and Chris Liebing, who was responsible for the mix-down of the album, are very happy about the outcome of this atmospherically rich in-house production. At the end of today´s exclusive podcast set you can actually hear one of the mentioned co-operations of Daniel Wilde and Monoloc entitled “It´s Mine”. The track “Time & Space”, which was just released on Souvenir Music is a collaboration with the acclaimed electronic music duo Tiefschwarz, and on Heinz Music, the new label of Kater Holzig, Daniel recently released a co-production with Bar 25 resident Marcus Meinhardt entitled “Free Mind”. Apart from his busy production schedule, this year Daniel´s dj career also made a massive leap, taking him to Barcelona, Miami, New York, Copenhagen, Lisbon and Amsterdam. Right now he is working on a new live act with live vocals and instruments, featuring his own productions, co-productions and features. If you would like to know more about this intriguing and versatile artist, please visit the following sites: www.facebook.com/danielwildeofficial www.twitter.com/daniel_is_wilde http://soundcloud.com/danielwilde http://gigs.gigatools.com/user/danielwilde Listen and download here: http://www.clr.net/media.pl Tracklisting CLR Podcast 194 - Daniel Wilde 01. CLR Podcast 198 – Xhin

It is Monday the 10th of December 2012 and we have Xhin back on the CLR Podcast. The Singaporean sound futurist has been crafting ominous cuts of cutting-edge electronic music since 1997 and is a regular, much appreciated guest on the podcast as well as on the label. His intricate blend of intelligent Techno first gained attention in the music business when he independently released his “Xycle” EP in 2003. In the following year his critically acclaimed debut album "Supersonicstate" came out. In 2006 the German independent label Meerestief discovered his talent and a remix he did for Five Green Circle´s track “Ronan's BBQ” received massive recognition. In 2009, Xhin joined Lucy´s new Berlin based Techno label Stroboscopic Artefacts to release the dark, intense and experimental side of his sonic spectrum. Just recently he released an excellent remix of MOTOR “Pleasure In Heaven” (feat. Gary Numan) on CLR, a remix for Bas Mooy “Desolaat” on Gynoid Audio and contributed two tracks to the “Stellate 3” 10” Vinyl Series on Stroboscopic Artefacts.
