A new venture between Anomaly, Stramm and IF? Records
Friday 23rd August 2013, at The Parlour, 169 Oxford Street. 9pm-3am. $10 door.
Three of Sydney’s underground party crews, Anomaly, Stramm and IF? Records join forces to host ‘Acid Kiss’ at The Parlour in Oxford Street.
Acid Kiss is a cheeky reference to one of the most significant psychedelics which is known for producing alerted states of consciousness.
Acid Kiss is a nod to music made with the classic Roland TB-303 Bass Line synthesiser which features so heavily in techno - not only as the familiar squelchy, mind-warping ‘acid’ sound, but also as the heavy low frequency basslines sitting deep in the mix.
Without either acid, music today would not be the same.
Sydney techno pioneer Biz is special guest and will be serving up one of his trademark techno sets of sub bass laden, bottom end funk. Residents Gareth Psaltis, Jordan Peters (Anomaly) and Sebastian Bayne (IF? Records) will provide the soundtrack for the rest of the evening, each interpreting their own acid vibe.
