Glad you like J0rdz

Yeah you right its a bit messy with the coffin but it just makes things so much easier taking the setup in and out of the loungeroom for house parties like this one at my place

terrible phone camera shot, showing my dodgy way of fitting all my gear on the table. Using the weight of the 1200 to counterbalance the cantilevering board holding the other 900...

Mind the grainy images... taken with my phone!

Cockpit:

Setup:

Some of my Vinyl:

Bit strapped for space at the moment so my A&H62, EFX1000 and CDJ400 are all in storage.

Plan to setup 2 consoles when i get the space...
A&H62 with my 1210's as a pure Vinyl station
DJM800 with the CDJs and EFX unit as a CDJ/Digital station

Looks pretty ghetto but it's my first setup. Next on my list is a kontrol x1, Traktor pro 2 (I only have Le right now) and some monitors, either the Audioengine A5's or M-Audio BX5a's.

Nothing wrong with that, mate!

I only come here to look at pictures of pioneer cdj's sitting on a variety of tables and benches

Hey look, that one has a printer, possibly with scanning function.

What kind of chair is that?

lol nah, there is room in there to do it, id have to recut and do the top though, would also make it look funny unless i put a DJM2000 in there or evo 5 to fill the space. Also if i built it for battle style from the start the dest would be smaller but i reckon it works better in dimensions as is, id prob lose out on the two cupboards(there 3 drawers behind each cupboard too). Your actually the second person to have a go at me for not doing battle style lol.

I recently sold alot of items to swap around gear for an ableton live based setup,
i custom build the desk, but it is yet to be changed for the new gear..

sorry for the small files, but being a new member it wont let me link photobucket.

Ive had the Jazzmutant for about 2 years now, heartbroken that you can do the same thing with a $400 ipad and $5 app!!

thanks man, its actually nothing special its only the record out, but i didnt want a hole in the desk top and a dodgy looking cable sticking through. it was the best solution i could come up with and looks pretty sweet imo. the unused set of RCA inputs on the left runs to a line in on the mixer too, incase someone got an ipod or some shit they wanna plug in

How do you find the 4d as a controller?

My (first) DJ setup. Two 1200's, a DJM 300, a broken set of Senheiser HD 457, AWESOME speakers and a VERY small vinyl collection.

The DJM 300 isn't mine, it's on loan till next week till I decide if I want to buy it (about $200 I think) or another mixer (Citronic SMFX-200 DJ Mixer $579 Retail, buying barely used for approx $400)

Just found out the tone arm on one deck is bent and also only puts out through one channel which is just awesome

I will get some real speakers when funding permits, till then these will at least allow me to use this stuff. The senheisers should be replaced within the week. Most importantly I want to try buy at least one piece of vinyl a week to just gradually build up the collection.

Cheers but I wouldn't get too carried away, a quick look on ebay last night showed I definitely payed too much for the decks.

@ bressos
About the xone 22 mixer, how good is it? I think that if I can talk the seller of the citronic one down to about 350 that it cant be that bad a deal...? I mean I literally am just starting and really want to save where I can at the moment. Having said that that I'm not getting the even cheaper 300 because whilst it does work very well I knw it has had something electrical replaced semi recently and has been heavily used so its anyones guess when something else will fail (probably never will, it feels like a tank)

let me put it this way,the quality that u get from a xone 42 is 2nd to none its great for beginner djs, the audio quality that comes from a xone 42 is the best out there and its got eventhing u need for basic mixing.that said not knocking the citronic but i have heard bad things from that brand and they dont build great mixers in my opinion

You do know thats a stock ikea Expedit with ikea wheels on it, which about 60% of the setups in here have...

As for the setup, good to you starting with vinyl! Though i dare say you will be moving onto CDJs at some point, vinyl is pretty much dead these days...
