It makes perfect sense, less and less clubs these days have turntables setup, and those that do have them on hand are usually kept in shocking, barely playable condition. Why would you fork all that money out on a DVS and then still spend hours burning CDs when you don't have to?

Bridging a DVS with Ableton can make for some crazy on the fly mashup and live remixing kind of shit.

Few pics of my humble setup/studio/home office. Note how the cables are zip tied together and to the speaker stand yet are a complete mess under the table.

DJing setup is 2xCDJ900s, Korg Zero4, Behringer Truth B1030As, Sennheiser HD25s, MacBook Pro running RekordBox (USB thumb drives when I'm out)

My setup:

1 x Numark 5000FX
1 x Technics SL1200 MK2
1 x Technics SL1210 MK2
2 x Denon DN-S3700
1 x Allen & Heath Xone X D-53

Just gotta get myself an RJ45/ethernet port (I think) to play off of USB, and hopefully say goodbye to burning cds.

Thanks - I mis-wrote that last comment though - I meant to say play off one usb, which unfortunately I can't with the denons - still, playing of two usbs (one per cd-j) saves so much time burning cds....

With everyone using Serato/Traktor these days, the type of CDJ isn't really all that critical anyway.

what's the dammage on Reloop players these days?
I've had a good play with a set previously and actually don't think anything bad on those bad boys.
I still rock out on the 200's when I don't have serato setup, but wouldn't mind turfing them and getting those for look value.

yeah they're good. the only thing that anoys me is that they dont have a waveform and the cue/play buttons are tad bit sticker than pioneers. But dont get rmp 1 or rmp 2's- apparently they're shit

I have 2 Stanton T.60's and a M.201 mixer. A pair of Reloop RHP 10 headphones. I forgot what brand my speakers are and my amp is Pyle.
Guess I have a thing for no name/ small name brands.
All up, it's cost me: 550 (turntables and mixer)+ 100 (speakers [3 x 100w @ 8ohm]) + 120 (amp) + 90 (headphones) which equals *start menu -> all programs -> accesories -> calculator ->* $860 .
I think I've done alright with me monies.
I just need to go and get some RCA cords or whatever you use to connect the mixer to the amp to the speakers, and a headshell and cartridge, then I'm set.
But can anyone recommend a place to get them? I was thinking Dick Smith or Wow Sight and Sound for the cables....

^^^ eBay for cables. eBay for headshell and cart but don't buy a 2nd hand stylus, you don't know where it has been. From time-to-time complete new headshells are available on eBay cheap. Otherwise your favourite DJ shop can help.
