It's a pity, but the writing was on the wall after his summer transfer business. Palace don't have a premiership level back 4. Scoring goals is one thing, shipping them gets you relegated.

Normally the promoted teams start the season in a bluster, and then drop off.

Realistically they need to pick up the majority of their points in the first half of the season, otherwise its going to be a loooooong one

To be fair they haven't had an easy run so far, they were pretty unlucky not to get a point from Tottenham and Stoke. But its the Stoke and Fullham type matches that they want to get *something* out of.

I can see why the red was given but I still think it was a fuck up by the ref and the linesman. If Arteta had clipped Chamakh's heels deliberately, then yes, it's a straight red but it certainly wasn't deliberate. Don't know what the ref and linesman's view was though.

Top win though. Normally would've crumbled, especially after losing to Dortmund during the week, but found a way.
