This morning: 30g WPI + 100g cottage cheese + 10g husk w/ water = 42g Protein

I shan't be doing that again.

my partner and I have commenced a 12 week challenge - no drinking (except for his birthday), no processed carbs, limited dairy.

Saw photos of my 21 year old self and I want to get to that again (but the healthy way this time).

Farken bring it on.

Pics are more motivating, trust me! If I didn't post before/progress pics I wouldn't have been as successful imo.

Just demolished 60gm oats w/ cottage cheese + cinnamon and 30gm WPI

edit: that sounded slightly creepy - let me rephrase; you don't need to post the pics on here, just taking the pics and keeping a record of your progress will help you stay on track

Eddie - I am tempted to look into RFL but am worried about my energy levels for my classes. on average I'm doing about 8 sessions a week (3 weights, 5 cardio) and can be as many as three a day which is exhausting. Could I cope with this on RFL or should I just stick to my usual paleo (but I'm going to be super strict on not eating chocolate, booze, shit on the weekend)?

I wouldn't advise it, you could try it out if you were sipping staminade or other simple carbs constantly, but I don't think it would be wise. RFL in general is a massive calorie deficit and has very little fat for recovery, training needs to be adjusted accordingly.

people in my office suck. i got up early to make uber paleo chicken salad for lunch and grab all my fruit for the day. walk into office and receptionist offers me a home made enormous 'monty carlo'. 'no thanks' (who the fuck would eat that at 9am?). colleague rocks in with a 4 pack of red bull and dumps one on my desk. 'no thanks'. 10.30 arrives... CAKE IN THE LUNCHROOM FOR BDAY.

FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU you guys.

so i ate the carrot cake and it was awesome.

Speaking of unhealthy food (spoilered for temptation reasons):

Spoiler:
The new Dorito's Burn corn chips are incredibly fucking tasy; just the right amount of spice. Had some after a night ont he town on sat night.

In healthier news, off to make myself a Chicken, lettuce, tomato and mayo foccacia.

so i don't have a much bodyfat besides a bit of a beer gut, would a week or two of RFL put a bit of a dent into the gut? or would i be better off just ramping up the cardio a bit?

I am cutting, but sometimes I feel like eating bacon, so I eat bacon.

Interesting fact still after all these years the saturated fat == heart disease thing has not been conclusively proven and its looking more and more tenuous every year.

Could at least eat the bacon that has the fat trimmed off
Regardless of the link with heart disease, the cals from the fat per 100gm are ~550

That is for American cut or streaky bacon. Which is the belly only and has a higher fat proportion. Australian middle bacon includes the loin also and has a much higher protein-to-fat ratio.

I cook it so that a decent proportion of the fat is rendered off to the pan, but when I do eat it I want to taste it, deadlift day is when I allow these things

LOL. I seriously have become a cutting nazi I think; after doing it myself for over a year, it's probably bordering elitism. I just want everyone to achieve their goals, that's all

I try to keep a pretty even keel and I don't eat chips/lollies/cake/biscuits/soft drink etc. But sometimes I want a big pile of bacon or a pizza or some fish and chips, so I smash that, enjoy it and then keep on keeping on.

The hardest thing for me still is not eating much bread, because I still fucking love bread, but it owns me.

i love good bread, but there are less and less times when i find it to go nuts on so i guess thats a good thing.

jsut had some roast chicken for lunch, think someone has been playing with the temp in the fridge bc it nearly froze my fingers off to eat it

thus far today

breakfast - morning balance + banana + yoghurt and a splash of milk
morning tea - carrot cake + 2 small bananas + apple
lunch - huge chicken salad (mixed leaves + carrot + red capsicum + 3 boiled eggs + cherry toms + lemon juice) + 2 bananas + apple + strawberries

im kinda fucked because i ate all my fruit and now i have no arvo tea before gym

come to think of it, i got paid on friday so i should splerg on some protein powder finally.

What's the green stuff?

Also wouldn't multi grain bread be better for ya?

Whoever recommended that I do honey & peanut butter on my sandwich was on the money. While not as nice as the jam, it felt better.

I had a mad craving for cookie dough so decided to experiment and came up with this high protein treat.

Mixed in 30g of protein powder (we had rocky road but chocolate would be better) with 2 tbsp of water to form a paste. Add in 1 tbsp of natural peanut butter (crunchy) and mix together with the paste.

It actually tasted like cookie dough! Would be tasty to mix in with some frozen yoghurt.

Cheers I tried that and hopefully ill be ok but only time will tell What do you think about the rice/egg protein available on bulknutrients for PWO? Only problem I see is it not tasting very nice.

6am Peanut butter sandwich with white bread
8.30 White wrap with turkey meatballs and vegetable relish
12pm Same as above
PWO 2 eggs and 3 pieces of white toast
Dinner TBA

Going to try oats with water tomorrow morning but im not sure if my stomach will like the wholegrain goodness. If I have issues ill also try it thursday morning with a slice of white bread before hand so I have extrea soluble fibre to help digest the insoluble fibre in the oats.
