Theres something called "reasonable". In all intents and purposes, the type of hook was marked large because when youre in a fishing shop, you are usually looking for a type of hook over a brand.
If he actually thought about it for more than two seconds he would have realised this.

Lobby towards fishing groups that the name that has been given to a type of hook (probably years ago) could be taken wrong? I seriously think youre not fit to comment on the type of hook either. it has nothing to do with the advertising. All of this brands hooks are red, all have the type written above the hooks. I think you are being completely unreasonable and should seriously grow up

nah. look, the truth is, i don't really care. i know there are a lot of worse things happening in the planet. and i know 99% of people wouldn't bat an eyelid when they saw 'suicide' written on a pack of hooks.

Yes, ive had to mourn a loss too, but im just pissed that its constant whining from people makes life difficult for everyone else. Yes, youve made a good point about the heaters but were talking about fishing here, something that does involve something getting killed.

People constantly lobby to get movies and games banned when all they have to do bring in a decent rating system and if they feel the pang of acting out the scenes then they should seriously get some help.

No I don't think anybody would feel guilty except for the hooks

but it would be a shame cause im keen to see what his next quest is in life....and whether he actually wrote a letter of complaint about the hooks and whether or not he got a reply. I know if id have recieved a letter of complaint about such a thing I would have taped a pack of hooks to a piece of paper and said take as needed

Cos at auschwitz they used gas to kill people, but ppl don't use fishhooks to commit suicide.

Now if they came out with Suicide brand Valium, or Suicide brand ropes, then yeah it would be a fair analogy.

ps Initially when i read torm3nts post, i thought he was taking offence not because someone might see the label and then kill themselves, but because it was in bad taste....

ok i am being lazy and not reading the whole thread..so sorry if i have repeated...have watched this thread grow and grow and thought oh i must read it.. i also thought it was going to be some kind of disturbing hook for suicide but it isn't and is a product with a totally legit and different purpose. Don't really see the problem unless it has a how to guide on the back. But can understand the sensitivities with people that have lost someone dear to suicide. It is not nice at all.

Considering Australia has one of the highest youth suicide rates in the world, I think it was far more offensive for Torm3nt to say that some people on this forum obviously hadn't been affect by suicides.
