Yes.. I know, it's been off air for a while, and the rumours of it's resurrection have been on and off again like that fiery couple at highschool, but GOD DAMN I loved (and still love) that show!!!

From the intelligent highjinks of 'Roswell that ends well' (It won an Emmy award), to the hilarious shenanigans of 'Three hundred Big Boys', to the guaranteed-to-make-tears-well-up-in-my-eyes of 'Jurassic Bark' (Yes... seriously... )... it was one of the best animated shows to ever make an apperance on TV...

they actually made 5 seasons, but crammed the episodes from season 5 onto the season 3 and 4 box sets.

i fuckin love the last episode (the devils hands are idle play things), with the robot devil. he cracks me up!

Futurama, the one show I can not get enough of. I swear those DVD's must have been watched 100 times already.

The one thing i hate about people that dont seem to like futurama is usually because "its nothing like the simpsons". ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE!!

My dad is the worst offender of this. He is the biggest simpsons fanatic, he watches the show almost religiously every night on 10 and even though he's seen EVERY episode a million times, each time he watches them, he talks to you about them as though its the first time he's ever seen it.

As soon as he saw the return of futurama to TV and saw "from the creator of the simpsons" he immediately thought it would be the same dimwitted humour of the simpsons all over again. Because it wasnt and its nothing like the simpsons in any way, he doesnt like it.

Don't get me wrong, i love the simpsons but futurama was definately a much better show.

I have every single episode on my pc and for a good year or more, i used to watch at least one or two episodes a night as i went to bed.

No matter how many times i watch them i never get sick of them.

Getting David X Cohen as executive producer is one of the best things they could have done. He really gave the show something special and pushed it well beyond what the simpsons could ever be (I'm still a massive fan of the simpsons, but since futurama came along the simpsons just isn't the same).

No they only made 4 seasons.

Fox split it into 5 seasons though

yeah mrtimotae is right. fox split it up and showed all the episodes in the wrong order. the way it is on the dvd box sets is correct.

edit: also the show is my favourite animated series hands down. im appreciating

I was one of the very few that actually liked Futurama when it first came out, everyone was pissed off because it wasn't the same as the simpsons.... But hell, its not supposed to be, as DjReal already pointed out.
