Habersham
got to be one of my favourite producers, been collecting all his tunes for a while now. Have tried searching for general info on him/her but can find nothing, no myspace, no website nothing.

Anyone out there Hook us up with some info on this genius ( you know pubic hair dimensions fav food, eye colour? ),

Would like to book @ some stage in the near future.

I have Damon's details if you're needing to get in contact with him re: bookings etc. We've had him play at Private Function a few years back on his first tour here and he played Sunny the following year. Only recently we were looking at getting him across again but couldn't find much interest from any of the other states...

He's currently working on some collaborative stuff with Darkama i believe.

Dimensions? He's pretty short. His favourite food when he's in Australia is Souvlaki (apparently it's pretty non-existent in Atlanta). I didn't get a chance to catch the colour of his eyes sorry
Until further notice...

He'd be great in Sydney, would be a significant crowd of serious music heads. Maybe since the Function guys are looking at bringing him back could have a Sydney/Melbourne tour? Guess it depends how much he costs though.

Yeah right! He would struggle to pull a decent crowd in this city. The crowd would be dedicated but the numbers wouldn't be huge that's the reality of Sydney a lot of time for the more underground producers.

the greatest producer ever to walk this planet
Yes you saw right, Habersham is second to none when it comes to the production stakes. He has set a new benchmark when it comes to all things minimal/tech/prog house & breaks. The key word being here is intelligent, cause that is what his music is. Its Intelligent Dance Music! All of his productions show great attention to detail, from devastatingly deep throbbing bass lines, to the glitchy clicky percussion, which has been a trademark for Damon for sometime.

His releases through Audio Therapy have definitely helped habs gain a bit of exposure to a wider community. But yes, would still be hard at this stage to get a crowd here in Sydney, as that is juts the reality of the scene here. Hopefully, and I think its starting to happen, that the scene here in syd is becoming a bit more open-minded, and should not in the too distant future be a place for habersham to play to a very receptive Sydney crowd.

To the people of Sydney who would be interested in seeing him, why donít you post your thoughts here. Maybe if there is enuf of u showing interest, seeing habs play here sooner rather than later could be a distinct possibility. Actually why dont you come to Loose Kaboose tonight to hear some of his stuff being played. We are at the world bar, and its free entry before 10

thats my two cents worth

I used to talk to Damon on Soulseek years back before he became big.
I have plenty of his older tracks at home. He certainly has evolved into a brilliant producer.

...and lets not forget cloudbreak. Also I heard damon helped out with a track or two on the new lostep album.

Aston Shuffle boys brought him down to canberra last time. was a top night even though not many people turned up. he played a bit of everything including some messed up squarepusher track at the end. I begged for unthinkable or cloudbreak but he said he didn't even have them with him.

Some of the tightest and intelligent sounds I've heard. Seismographic remix is one of my favourites. Hope to see him next time he's in the country. paired with Phil k would be awesome.

Damon played that squarpusher track to me back at mine after the melbourne gig. It's called "Do You Know Squarepusher" and it's a pretty infulential track to him. Such a head-fuck. Every single bar is different i believe (ie. there is not a single loop).

The potential for Habersham to pay an extraordinarily undanceable set, populated only by a thin dancefloor of entirely male tune geeks is very high, hence the unliklihood of any promoter chancing the cost of flying him out to Sydney.
...

I'll see to it you don't get apricot one.

Don't know about undanceable, but your right his fanbase probably consists of male djs and bedroom djs. Sydney prefers a bit more 'handbag house'. Jon Lisle and Phil K at mint bar was a similar situation: maddest prog breaks in the front room with mostly guys and cheese in the back where all the girls were.

How did the melbourne gigs go bb? both yours and Sunny?
