as much as rts games bore the fuck out of me these days, i actually find myself really wanting to play this game. Probably because it's just a modernised version of the original which i loved to bits. It's looking like they've stayed true to what made the first one great.

I watching their videos with their apm's in the corner back in the day, they would get some ridiculous apm like 200+

Recently boxer, nada, iris and stork played in a tournament which were like 16 of the best SC players coming back in a tournament: http://gsi.gomtv.com/ you could watch the matches live, they were awesome

hahah nah was all in good fun, and i honestly can't remember the results. There was a period of about 2 weeks where a few of us ITM elite were all up in teh starcraft. I think marshy was the only one who's been training non stop since 1998 tho

I used to be in the stage where I would load spam bots and advertise and flood channels, ahh back in the days. I had like 80 keys + proxies, used to run win bots for people too when ladder scores used to actually have some meaning

i saw the blizzcon demonstration of terran gameplay on youtube. the head designer or whoever said it would be supporting dx10, but would not require it..

on a side note - no one would have any spare keys still lying around? i've been thinking about reinstalling sc/bw in anticipation of sc2's release. i guess i could go to EB or wherever and pick it up for $20 but

I always liked the "Live for the Swarm" of those Zerg Suicide guys. I have not played Starcraft for ages, but this looks worth it.

This is why Starcraft is the still the best RTS out there. Perfect balance. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. It mainly comes down to who can out think or be quicker (korean quick that is).

edit - holy shit Bwen that youtube vid was awesome. That bit at the start with the two terran soldiers wiping out pretty much an entire zerg army was crazy! Such fast micro.

they weren't downloaded i used to run winbots for people back in the day and load all 80 keys up at one time, good old days of cheating had accounts with like 90 thousand wins

What can you bot in starcraft I thought that was more a diablo thing to do?

yeah you can load up bots in the channels to flood channels and make them full so clans have to change channels - repeat and people don't know where the clan has gone/died
Also flood bots which sit in a channel and continually spam, logs into a different account, rejoins and spams so you have the same effects as a load bot

also load winbots which automatically play under your account and loads of other accounts, after 2 minutes the loss accounts automatically leave so your account gets a win. roughly every 2 mins and 30 seconds per game (setting up, leaving etc.) You can log onto an account with more than one user (don't know if they'ved patched that up) 80 keys = 40 games at a time @ a rate of roughly 2:30 per game

Also, apparently it's impossible to change the draw size of SC.
Either I play on a game boy sized screen (very hard to micro/click) or I play on a 24" screen with probes the size of my hand.



EDIT - running a virtual PC, then resizing that desktop should work. Going to try that tonight, can anyone recommend a good virtual PC tool?
