Building a studio
I have a double garage under my apartment and was thinking of sectioning a part of it off to build a studio, maybe 2x2m or something. Has anyone done something similar? What material would be best to build with and how soundproof could I make it without suffocating? And what dimensions would be suitable? Will prob only have laptop, screen and monitors and a small keyboard. Can't be permanent or too expensive as strata could make me rip it down

Or can you buy pre-made studios??

thanks

2m x 2m? Do you realise how small that is?

I too will be building studio soon, just bought a place and its only 2 bedrooms so will be building another shed/studio solution in the back garden. Looking around the 3 x 4 or 2.5 x 5 m size .

This is providing some inspiration atm

My recommendation would be to not make it perfectly 2.5 x 5, even division means bad room modes. If that could be 4.8 x 2.6 with a 3m ceiling you'd probably be doing better.

cheers I'll keep that in mind
as long as the exterior dimensions are less than 10m2 I dont need a building permit hence the 2 x 5 or 2.5 x 4 approach

You said different dimension before. 2.5 x 4 is no problem (except that it's not all that wide).
