today its a Tupac's greatest hits disc i made myself

i hated on pac when all eyez on me came out.. thought it was mad disappointing after his first 4 albums. listening back, that and makaveli had some classics, also the soundtrack stuff like Definition of a Thug nigga. he had some songs with questionable content, and was undoubtedly beyond paranoid especially toward the end.. but he almost never made a bad song.
i think pac is the GOAT, just ahead of scarface and rakim for pure raw emotion in his songs.

Lately im all about these cats called Speech Defect, who are really bringing back the west coast - repect to the old school vibe thing that i thought i was well over - j5, ugly duckling... played out right?

Not when its produced as well as this... Ive been listening to their album "Freshcoast Gettin Rowdy", and they have aparantly released another album this year... get on it... Good flows, amazing production and the kicker - they are straight outta stockholm...

Raheem Jamal - Boombox - not quite on the level of Raydar Ellis' Late Pass, but still solid.

Aesop Rock - None Shall Pass - don't normally ufck with advance downloads, but had to interview the man so gave myself a pass. Possibly his best work yet, and I've heard a few people who don't feel his style say they're getting into it.

Kool G Rap & DJ Polo - Wanted Dead or Alive - these Cold Chillin' re-issues are essential. Great liner notes and an extra disc of instrumentals and remixes.

Hanging to get my hands on that Ivens. The 12" will be a must have.
