new Braintax LP

dunno if much of you heads are familiar with the man, hes a no nonsense Vet MC from the UK, and head of Low Life records.
just done his last lp - imaginatively named 'My Last and Best Album', and i havent reached a verdict on it yet, but its nice. He's not a mc's mc in terms of flow man, but always talks sense, and has some nice beats in his repetoire too. I would definitely check it out, plus the other two lps.

he's political and pretty full on with it, peep the 2nd video down on the left of the page here - fucking heavy shit. This is from LP number 2, Panorama.

http://www.myspace.com/lowliferecordshq

Anyway, I fully recommend you check his stuff, the LP is nice throughout, some full on political rhymes some anti capitalist/media messages, but put across in a direct & tounge in cheek manner. Also has some personal shit going on, and also some more light hearted stuff about munchies, and a wide variety of beats.

Sorry for the poor review, its more of a big-up anyway.. peace

(just realised Pegz finished on 3 lps too, and I guess they have similar qualities. Sure respect is mutual anyway).

Hey Xpose,

i think you might be the deserving the credit for a recent ITM shoutout i witnessed...

I saw you reviewed Joell Ortiz a couple years ago.... The Brick Bodega Chronicles is probably my pick for Best Album of 2007... i've seen all the song clips countless times, know most the rhymes word for word, like i said, big fan...

so imagine my surprise the other day when i was watching the clip for 125 Grams... listen out for "The recognition had begun"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GAUC1ex3L4

chicketty-check-yeah .... pretty cool hey!

Had a listen to the new Lupe Fiasco album "Losers" on the weekend... what a pile of crap, the biggest pile of crap! HUGE AMOUNTS OF CRAP!
I even read an interview with him where he said that he hates it and only made it that way because the recording company told him to.

how can you go from making music like this...
Media Player
Lupe Fiasco - Hurt Me Soul - YouTube

to producing shit like this....
Media Player
Lupe Fiasco - State Run Radio Ft. Matt Mahaffey - YouTube

yeh the missus went n saw him the other week and said it was one of the worst gigs she'd ever been to and ended up walking out.

The Cool is absolutely brilliant and its such a shame to hear he's turned so shit.

yeah except if you listen closely, lupe's lyrics are still clever and witty and he hasn't really lost anything - it does sound like it was entirely production which fucked this album up - there's still some good to be found in there though - 2 ways and words i never said are dope.

Lasers has grown on me over time, thought it was rubbish initially. It's not too bad really, you can hear good Lupe in there... bit hidden though.

Extremely G.O.O.D Music.
Cruel SUMMER.

Cruel Summer is a collaborative studio album by the members of the musical conglomerate G.O.O.D Music. A very cool sounding album with the classic Kanye unique sounds included throughout the songs, the album in it's self encapsulates so many different genres of music making it very diverse and unpredictable. Special mentions to tracks like “Clique” ”The Morning” & “The One” on the album that really leaped out of me by the way they were composed and delivered with great uniqueness. This album includes some huge names including Kanye, Jay-z, Big Sean, Dj Khaled and the list goes on. Please take a moment to entice your ears with the unique Hip-hop sounds this whole album provides.
