I never understood "virtual vinvyl" with CDJs
Just me....but i don't get it

Apart from file serving....what can a "program" do that a CDJ can't in that set up? Especially given all CDJ's play mp3s now
Unlesss you cant beat match?????

I think it's the fileserving and searching that does it.

I'm with you. Never owned cdj's.
I got TORQ, Connectiv and the vinyl pack not long ago and I find myself loving the ability to search tracks. I hate trying to find that one track, and your running out of time, but love still using vinyl to DJ. TORQ is great.
I think with the cdj's, some people already had them and are used to them, so are staying with them. Fair enough.

I got TORQ for the fileserving of all the digital tracks I have, and now gives me a reason to convert alllll my vinyl to mp3, and save me lugging all my fucking vinyls around with me to gigs.

Anybody new getting into DJin, getting a DVS and cdj's, I also question why not just get decks.

Traditional 2 decks, and a mixer and add a midi controller for some extra control, is all one needs with a dvs.

Yep its the convenience of fileserving + searching.

The air is actually not that good for dj'ing mainly because of the overheating issue. If your using it while the charger is in and it's a hot day, within about 30-40 mins serato will come to a crawl. I'm told because it shuts down one of it's cores.

You can probably get about 2 hours of playing though on a full charge.

It's from a brand called Pro DJ User and I bought it from a danish webshop as I live in Denmark

It's the ULTIMATE MS-36-B stands and I bought it from Thomann, an international company

A little picture of the stands + monitors

- was taking right after they arrived to my door

Yeah i'd probably go for the macbook pro's as they seem stronger and also for the extra hard drive space. The airs are light weight and compact but probably not the most suitable lappy for serato.

Yeah pretty awesome table just the right height, and quite sturdy and you can store shit underneath for easy access.

how are the hdj2000's in comparison to the 1000's?
i'm thinking of getting them, theyre so sexy!

i suggest getting the krk rp10s sub.
i got rokit speakers, sure theyre great. but once you get the sub you'll be like !!!

i had the speakers for a while before, then i got the sub.
sub stuffed up, sent it in for repair.
that time it was in repair, wow i really noticed the difference.
rp10s is epic.

Cheers yeah i saw the samson ones but thought they mightn't be sturdy enough by the look of them..

They say they got a 40 pound load tho, and my krk's are only 21 pounds.. but they dont look particularly trustworthy, i dunno...

Just bought it the other day from a good friend No monitors yet, running it off the 5.1 in my bedroom. But I'm pretty awful anyway so I prefer not to hear what I'm doing

When your mates rock up mix and only have cds, you need cdjs. Not everyone is going to go to the hassle of laptops, hard drives and the set up just to have a mix. Its allabout the sharing!!!!
