Segue's Chemical Brothers remix featured on Palms Out Sounds

In the heady world of mp3 blogs they don't get much bigger than Palms Out Sounds. It's one of the most popular stops for new electronic music on the web - so popular it's broken out of the online world into club nights in NYC.

The most popular day to visit Palms Out Sounds is Sunday, when blog admin Haldan posts up his 'Remix Sunday' collection of the hottest stuff he's found over the last week.

And what should be included in the collection this week? None other than Segue's remix of The Chemical Brothers' Electronic Battle Weapon 9.

Top work gentlemen - fantastic exposure and a fantastic remix

Isn't it sad that I've been after this remix for months and have to download it from an mp3 blog to obtain it? :p

Nice work fellas, absolutely loving it!

P.S. That remix is FUCK YEAH! I love that running bass sound in tracks, it always closes my fist and then controls my arm on a dance floor.

A segue is also a gradual and seamless transition between two principal audio sources, as one might hear in a nightclub when a DJ "mixes" music.

Oh noez, our confidential Segue-Segway prototype designs have leaked on to the World Wide Webs!! Click to enlarge and steal our secrets! Can you guess which Segue member belongs to which bike?

Thanks for the feedback, it was a fun remix and its nice to get some perspective. All thanks to Pistola! This mp3 blog culture thing is pretty fascinating, we're getting emails from people in places like Portsmouth and New York play it in their DJ sets. Its encouraging because we have always focused on being a live act first so now we are signing to a label its easy to over-stress about the mixdowns and get studio cabin fever. We're going to have some bombs out in time for Summer, just so we can watch them get pirated on Oink and then give up and write electro instead.

We're playing next on 5th of October, at an excellent night called Smashbang in Melbourne. Theres a couple of other remixes to mixdown, namely "Tilt" for excellent techfunk act Hyperion and "Shoot the lights" for Flamingo Crash. You might have heard the original on a Volvo advertisement. Awesome band. Apart from that, lots of geeky stuff, so keep an eye on the site and jump on the mailing list!
