I emailed Pioneer Australia chasing a release dates - see below:

"We are expecting them to be shipped in January 08, so by the time they make it to retailers, mid to late February 08"

So they're a little way off yet.

Thats still only a few months away. I would have thought with the usual delays that australia gets, we'd be looking at the middle of next year

They've got the denon 5500 up as well for $0.00.

Really keen to have a play on all these new pieces of kit.

Found this awesome demonstration video of it yesterday, goes through pretty much every feature, and is also pretty good quality.

I really think i'll be getting a pair of these when they come out, haven't had my own set of decks before (can play though) and these look perfect for home use!

sure you can have a whole stack pre programed but I like the idea that you dont have to worry too much about getting your loops dead on and you can focus on mixing etc

no one rags on ableton dj's or serato dj's for using loops which are automatically created and nor should they when they are done on cd's....

I'm pretty impressed with it by that video above. That 1/3rd loop function on it sounds pretty wicked.

I heard it was going to be more around $1000. For $750 they will fly out the door! Shits on the CDJ200, maybe even better than the 800's.
I'll be back...

^ think you can search through directories which makes it easier, though having said that my DMP555 can do that on a disc though i never do anything other than put one track (and any remixes of it) on a disc.

/has gazillion cds/

which makes finding the tune equally hard.

im pretty sure u can search through folders and directories on the 800mk2 cdj 200 and 1000mk3

someone here will obviously verify this

and if you can, would there be any benefit of the memory stick?

actually if you play .wav there might be coz 10 gig could get you a bit but 700mb not many tracks,

A mate at work has been wanting to get into DJ'ing.

I suggested he get a pair of these and a DXM06.

He rang me last night to say he bought the last pair of CDJ400's from DJ Warehouse.

He doesnt have a mixer so he wants to come over to mine and set these bad boys up and have a go.

I will see how they perform.....

Hey if people are interested, JB HiFi just received stock codes for the cdj400's. No stores have stock yet AFAIK, but expect ticketed prices to be around the $915 mark, with cost price being significantly less. Prices could change when stock hits shelves of course, but thought y'all might like to hear this info while it's hot.
