The Cross & a couple of others (The Egg and another) are getting demolished as part of the ongoing upgrade of Kings Cross. Apparently will be replaced once complete but not anytime soon

As was the case a month or so ago none of the majors were stocking it in good ol Melbourne town but I have been told to call back at the end of the week and "they may have had some stock ordered".

Without going it to it too much it seems that it's getting harder for somebody who likes buying cd's to get an immediate fix when the calling comes.

Thanks for the responses, will keep trying.

Finally giving this a listen. I am three hours in and it is really quite good. It seems to be structured really well, which is what you would expect for a veteran I guess.

I find that when listening to some of the longer sets at home I can loose interest in it. So far so good.

its from the end of that beastie boys track (from like round the 2:45 mark to the 2:55 mark, those 2 tracks)

they are listed as

Unknown '(needs mastering)' could be Audio Therapy, 'Waterhole'
Unknown 'Crosstalk'

my god are they good...

Bumpity bump...

Just going through all my sets with 'stand out tracks' and those two unknown ones from here still send me to prog heaven.

'Crosstalk' is Josh Gabriel, but what about the one before it? I've had a search around other forums and no one has mentioned it.

Yep this is a “Frickin” pretty “Frickin” set (as Bmoney would say) And I do agree that the last quarter is a bit cheesy, but remember this was the last Renaissance party at the Arches and so he pretty much pulled out all the big tunes that have rocked the place over the years. It would have been phenomenal to have been there. It would have been “Frickin” phenomenal in fact.

What a shame about the cross. My personal favourite of all the London clubs. I used to go and watch Seb Fontaine do his stuff and inspired me to start playing records while i was over there. An institution lost. This, including Turnmills being lost this year as well, has seen a decimation of some of the best clubs in the world (with the biggest DJ's playing on a weekly basis).

Hopefully we will hear of some newer, better ones opening. But it takes time to build up the character a place like the cross had.

This looks pretty good!!

Dave Seaman - This Is Audio Therapy Volume 2

To celebrate their tenth year in the business and with over 100 releases now firmly under their belt, Audio Therapy thought it high time they celebrated the story so far.

This Is Audio Therapy Volume 2 is a collection of some of their finest works all of which have been deftly remixed by some of today's finest production talent.
Spread across two discs which contain exclusive full length reworks of classic Audio Therapy tracks from Infusion's Legacy , Habersham's Dryspell and Nick Muir's G Platz, Disc 1 is expertly mixed by label head honcho Dave Seaman where as Disc 2 is a bonus unmixed version with the tracks in their entirety. This release sets out to showcase the wealth and talent of the labels esteemed catalogue all of which have been diligently and painstakingly updated by the likes of Robert Babicz, Pig & Dan, Quivver, Charlie May, Gusgus, Glenn Morrison, Funkagenda, Guy J, Eelke Kleijn, Simon & Shaker to name but a few.

The tracklisting over both CD's is second to none and is bolstered even further by the addition of 2 totally exclusive tracks from Dave Seaman himself, one of which is a collaboration with legendary producer Josh Gabriel and the other being an unreleased remix of his own much lauded single Gobbledygook.

Dave Seaman commented, "We've breathed new life into a catalogue we're very proud of and can only hope that the listening experience matches the enjoyment we had putting the whole project together. It's been one helluva ride. Here's to the next ten years. Acid house is dead, long live acid house."

Along with the double CD release, there will also be a full digital release in bundle and single format as well as a Limited Edition Vinyl run with some of the releases highlights.

I always love Dave's mix cds, he is up again for the Renaissance Masters Series

Dave Seaman, the most decorated champion of the Masters Series, returns to defend his crown…

Dave Seaman and Renaissance are an iconic duo. Their collaborations have become like fish & chips, Lennon & McCartney and Posh & Becks – a quintessentially British export. The secret behind the success is actually quite transparent, falling to Dave’s incredible depth of experience, remaining as meticulous as ever in his track selection, incredible ear for harmonic mixing and natural feel for programming.

The latest chapter in the Masters Series finds him in a rich vein of form as he draws upon the scenes best talent. Disc One treads along a more eclectic path taking in Four Tet, Ben Watt, UNKLE, Moby and Spooky before culminating in Dave’s own twist on Ewan Pearson’s lauded re-work of Jon Hopkins blissful anthem ‘Light Through The Veins’. Disc Two takes more of a peak-time high road, picking-up hitchhikers in the form of Guy J, Agoria, Radio Slave and Nic Fanciulli before bundling them all out to make way for the heavy hitting finale of Gui Boratto’s Adam Freeland remix.

As ever, the unique bag of editing, additional production and FX has been expertly woven throughout the mix, as Seaman further outlines, “There’s so much additional production and ‘nipping and tucking’ editing going on it’s difficult to highlight it all! We’ve credited certain parts where the results are obvious (the UNKLE acapella over a heavily chopped-up Andre Winter track and the additional drums, bass and female vocal on Jon Hopkins for example), but the whole album almost became like one long track to be honest, such was the care and attention that went into it. I hope it shines through…”

It does.

Dave Seaman’s latest Masters is yet another musical chapter that will define and stand the test of time - an essential listen to brighten stereos and iPods as the Autumn nights draw in.
