Nice one Cosmica!

Spectrum has done a good job of tracking down new links for previously hosted ones here:

http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?ui...ac65909af0d5bb

I've just updated it with a lot of my dead links, more to come soon!

Cheers

Hey all, just signed up cause i noticed this thread...
Im after a tape i had back in the day recorded live from Freelove 96, it was a double tape pack and i have the other one here, the original that is, but I would love a copy of the Dj Daydream side.

Also, if anyone knows where i can get a copy of the FOD 4 video it would be very much appreciated.

Hello troublemakers

Ahh well, finally shipped my kit from back home over here to London... Sadly, not all my tapes survived the long hibernation

Some did though! So... After serious trouble hunting down a cassette deck ( " A *cassette deck* mate? Nahh... Haven't sold 'em for *years*" ) I have, finally, started to rip some

First off the rank, because it is close to my heart: Carl Cox, at Strawberry Fields, (just south of Brisbane... A truly legendary rave) late 93? Maybe early 94... Only 1/2 an hour sadly. A few minutes in, you'll notice the music stops - anyone who was there will recall that moment - it was the big bouncy balloon bouncing right on top of one of the the great man's decks His manager went *balistic*..

Anyway, here it is... Apologies in advance for quality *and* that damned MC grrr... Just atrocious. Had a stunning girlfriend though ;-)

Back already!

This one... A super-rarity. Lenny Dee, spinning at The Site in Brisbane. Early 93 if my admittedly ermmm *suspect* memory of those years serves me correctly

This was very hard indeed for Brissie at the time... I don't think anyone was expecting a set like this! It was a hard night, indeed, and an enduring memory of a great - and sadly long lost - venue.

Again, apologies for the quality... And the (same) damned MC!

Yeah, Lenny Dee was ultra hard, I remember he played at the Graffiti Hall of Fame courtesy of Nick TT, in either late 92 or 93. It was pretty heavy. Awesome though.

On that night, Lenny blew a speaker at The Site!

Thanks for the Carl Cox set from Strawberry Fields, that set is legendary in Brisbane!

Agincourt Hotel, though it was technically the open space / car park out the back, down the lane. Actually, not sure what the actual room that the Hardcore Cafe worked out of, but the general space was always known as the Agincourt.

And here I was thinking that my sarcasm spoke for itself.....

As for the ripping of stuff, I noticed a few mixes that I have that aren't up on the Facebook thingy so when you get back to me, I'll upload them.
I think they were the Mack 5 tapes, one of which was one side Mach 5, one side Paul Holden.

Hey Jay, glad you like it. I think it's a brilliant mix, I've been listening to it alot - and I can never go past a Frankie Bones set - he always delivers! It's also nice to know that occasionally some decent trance still pops up from time to time.

This review part of the recording is making me roll my eyes so much. We've been around so long blah blah blah Everyone should be more open to experimental music.... Our DJs are just as good as international DJs, blah blah blah

It is the same old conversations that people still have today... Kinda sad eh?

Ok here is another session from 3RRR Tranzmission. 02/01/94.
http://www.mediafire.com/?v9cg2ubozzn

This was the show straight after New Years 1993. The second half is from legend DJ Kid Paul set at the Palace on NYEve. Keep your ears open for the rave update from Kate, Liz Millar and Mad Rod.....interesting listening.

I will post more as I find time to convert them. Also let me know on the quality side as I can make some adjustments, taa.

Um, not to sound ungrateful or anything... coz but you asked!

anyway, the levels on this one are a bit high...

by that I mean ITS REALLY LOUD but the distortion fcuks out especially on Astroboy's 2nd track - an absolute running man acid belter BTW

now it might be your tape, coulda been the RRR transmission on the night, but it might've been your conversion... anyhow just lettin ya know

oh and thanx again

WTWG parts 1 to 6 would be far better picks for this forum, No. 7 was rubbish has a bunch of tracks from year 2000 and sounds nothing like the rest.

Ok end rant.

I know a few people have been after this, so I've got some of it on mp3 format. The following is the last 60 minutes of DJ Thief from Brisbane on JJJ's Mix Up in 1995. I still have another 60 minutes of this set stuck on my 13 year old tape, with the start of Thief's set and the last 20 minutes of Jen-E's set. I'm having sound card issues, so I don't know when I'll get that uploaded. Anyway, enjoy one of the best hardcore sets evaaaaa!
