Picked up the logitech k400 keyboard / touchpad combo. Feels cheap and nasty as expected but much easier to use than the dinovo mini

Logitech K400 arrived. It does feel a little cheap but I suppose it depends what you're comparing it to. Sad thing is it feels way better than my Clevo (both key action & trackpad). So I'm pretty happy with it.

http://www.logitechshop.com.au/logit...oard-k400.html

Also picked up the GENIUS WIZARD STICK (tl;dr it's a wiimote for PC). Seems ok, comes with a bunch of shitty games plus their own shitty Steam-like client so you can buy more shitty games. It's just an XBMC/emulation controller for me, looks like it should do that job nicely. Hopefully I can get it functioning as a generic pad without all the bloatware running in the background.

Also, something has turned up at the other office for me. It's either a Raspberry Pi or the second Pandora I ordered two years ago Gear whoring something horrid this month. I feel dirty.

For the $49 price it's a good buy though, nice and lightweight.. if it had been significantly better quality I think it would end up weighing half a ton like the dinovo edge does, from experience that's not such a great thing for couch use.

key action I'm happy with for HTPC duties but not something I'd want to do any prolonged writing on - it's well spaced out for its small footprint and handles general HTPC shiz such as file renaming or interweb searches a lot easier than some of the cramped micro keyboard options like the dinovo mini.

Save yourself the money imo..

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/USB-PC-Re...item2eb7458ab2

Playing SNES games on any other shaped controller is just wrong.

If you want to spend a little more you can get the buffalo version with turbo function and Pal SNES/Super Famicom colour buttons:

Heard really great things about that controller. Make sure to keep the receipt and check how long the warranty is though - I'm not sure if this is wide-spread but there's a few comments on the net of Razer Onza's failing after 2-3 months -

Eg - about 3-4 people in this thread complaining about buttons not working after 2-3 months.
http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1524281

But who knows how they're treating their controllers.

I recently bought the official Xbox360 controller for use on PC - $35

360 controller is the best for windows (derp) mainly because most games give you the correct 360 button prompts now. The smart ones even know when you change between keyboard and controller.

That razer thing just looks like an overpriced 360 controller.

yeah I'm probably gonna pick up a 360 controller with PC USB wireless thingy soon

partly to have an INFERIOR INPUT DEVICE for my computron

partly to run another pair of INFERIOR INPUT DEVICES i've had sitting around since a few months ago when I saw a DJ HERO 2 clearance sale at Big W and was like "lol $20 isn't bad for some shitty pieces of hardware I could do dumb things with on my PC" but they'd already sold out of the nice USB PS3 ones ($70 including 360 wireless thing is a lot less "isn't bad" though )

hey Gruso remember when we won you that DJ HERO 2 and I was like "lol DJ GRUSO midi controller do it" but you just ended up giving it to your nephew or something. good times

edit: also I haven't used that joystick I bought in January for anything other than a headphone stand since like early February or something

These day's I'm getting around on a Specialized p.24:

not quite a bmx, not quite an mtb.

Always felt at home on a bmx, but a big wheeled cruiser makes much more sense for someone my age.

Thought I had one somewhere but must be on my office pc.

It's this build on the configurator.

Back from Holidays now and I already bought it for $68 so yeahhhhhhh impulsive purchases FTL

Warranty is 1 year and I won't be flogging it, 90% of my gaming time is SC2.

I'll just use it for games that are console ports (LA Noire handles like shit with a mouse/keyboard I'd imagine other 3rd person games are the same) and emulators and side scrollers woooo

Fuck me. New GP2X arrived this week - replacement for the stolen one, it's taken 18 months to find one again. Second Pandora also arrived today (I ordered that in 2010). Just took delivery of some new gear for the old man: a 7800N and Synology NAS. Good work jerks of the world, it's not like there's a shiny new HTPC begging for my attention this evening.

I need three copies of me, and at least four days off.

$275 with these guys Diary.
http://www.skycomp.com.au/item/SEAGA...aspx?id=271274

I think one of them is borked, as the QNAP isn't picking it up - but the other three are sweet.
So will swap over tomorrow or Saturday with them, whatev's no biggie.
They have a little collection point on Castlereagh Street in the City (Sydney).
Prices have always been pretty good and the service is suprisingly helpful.
