I have heard a fair bit of Nick Cave but couldn't tell you which track's-albums they were.Some of the stuff i didn't like, some i thought was amazing and said to myself that i had to track that stuff down but have never got around to it-stupid i know.

What albums do recommend Fusion? Is there a best of to start with or should i start with some certain albums.

As for Alt-Grunge,yeah im still a big fan.
Last week I had Death to traitors and Dragline by PAW playing, some of the best rock albums ever!

One of the best gigs ive ever been to was Helmet, Mudhoney, Sonic Youth at Syd Uni way back when

Hey does anyone else still get their alt and grunge on these days? I'll never get sick of Janes Addiction, Sonic Youth, Mudhoney, ...And you will know us by the trail of the dead, some old glam Motley Crue and Gunners, some new glam like Black Tide, Bullet and some new stadium alt hard rock flavours like Alter Bridge, Mars Volta, Lostprophets, Funeral for Friend etc but I gotta say, the one act outside my usual genres that has always been with me is Nick Cave - I've probably been listening to him now for about 20 years and his musical storytelling only gets more magical with age, I reckon he's probably my all-time favourite artist. Anyone else here dig Nick Cave?

His newer stuff has some mad tunes, like We Call Upon the Author, and Hold Onto Yourself from Dig Lazarus Dig but I personally think The Good Son and Your Funeral My Trial contain his best work - The Carny used to scare the shit out of me. I have spent the last couple of days listening to nothing but Cradle of Filth.

Midian = fucking epic !!! Next on the playlist, my favourite black metal album of all time; Dusk... and Her Embrace.

I cannot wait for their next one which Dani says will have a feel that is similar to a combination of the sounds of Midian and D...aHE.

Edit; I cannot wait to see Global Metal. I don't know why I didn't go to the cinema to watch A Headbanger's Journey - lucikly Foxtel showed it for a while - but if that movie doco is anything to go by, Global Metal should make for excellent viewing (especially if Melbourne is featured).

I bought this on tuesday night and have been listening to it non stop, what a fucking killer album:

Brutal as fuck but catchy at the same time, and the vocalist is like a back metal version of Mike Patton, so much variation in what he's doing vocally from utterly depraved shreiks and growls to awesome Ulver-esque clean vocals. The last song has to be one of the most OTT extreme tracks ever, up there with "Pandemonic Hyperblast" off theie "Codex Necro" album.

Monochrome from 06, it's an alright album but it's no Meantime or Betty.

fuck what a gig, from between the hammer and the anvil, the green manalishi, metal god, eat me alive, hell bent for leather, breaking the law, messenger of death, rock hard run free, you've got another thing coming and easily one of the best songs ever written for live music, painkiller

amazing gig, Rob's voice was flawless (only thing he didnt do was the scream at the beginning of painkiller).

what an awesome weekend it was.

They were in there a while and i had to get in there to get something, so i crept in quietly and saw James headfucking her.
