yes, i just can't for the life of me remember who on this site showed them to me... but there are a company that will mod your headphones to make them like that..

i have owned a couple and i currently use a MDR900 made by www.redboystix.com you can also get them made by http://www.duo-audio.com/ i am waiting on another one in the mail from www.redboystix.com. you can get them made anyway you want, with any headphone you prefer. i have made the telephone handset ones for people in the past and they sound very good!

Stick or lollipop headphones is what most people call them and they are more suited to old-style DJ who like me only use there cans to cue not mix as Ben royal stated if your the type of DJ that spends a lot of time in there cans and not the room you will get a very sore neck!

i also keep a pair of HD25's in my bag to test if i am getting stereo when i connect my stylus to turntables, also if i play in a venue where the system is so crap i have to mix in my cans i switch to the HD25's..

if anyone is in Melbourne and wants to check some out before ordering some, i would be happy to show them mine!

I bought a vestax lollipop phone in a moment of weakness from ebay the other day. problem is the actual earpiece is rubbish and sounds like a busted ass. Anyone know any way of retrofitting another phone into the handle?

yeah you could do it but you will find the cable on the VESTAX can is rather flimsy and you will have to fix that next, it would be cheaper to just get a new one made! But besides the sound do you like playing with the stick, some people love it & some people hate it?
i still get strange looks when i pull mine out at gigs!

are they wireless?

apparently some DJs use in ear wireless blue tooth headphones, especially trios like the X-Ecutioners, so they can rotate who's on the decks without constantly unplugging headphones.

Luke McD and i used wireless belt packs for our versus set at one of the War Of The Worlds party's and plugged our HD25's into them, i could walk through all the rooms and still hear what Luke was cueing. The Shure transmitter alone was worth well over $3k as far as i remember, so it wasn't really cost effective, I just hired it for $20 off a mate and put it into the rack with my DEP5 effects unit!

It's a HDJ 1000 headphone. Tiny bit of cracking in the vinyl cover, but otherwise perfect condition.

For me it suits the way i play. I mix without my headphones so all i use them for is cueing and it is easer than putting my HD25's on and off my head!
I still keep my HD25's in my bag just encase I'm playing a club where I can't hear the mix and i need to mix in the headphones!
