I'm voting for AUD up too. I'm going home in a couple of months' time and wouldn't mind LOTS of spending money while I'm there.

1AUD is now back up to 0.85USD

worth 0.69 Euro

looking to have stabilised, we might even see it cross the 0.70 Euro mark, which would be great for my trip in August!

I'm not expecting much change either way for a while. Europe is still very very fragile.

I understand it's pretty volatile considering it's been over a week and a bit and we've seen it dive and start to recover. I'll be happy if it stays constant for the next couple of weeks at this rate if it can nudge itself over .70 for the Euro then happy days for when i transfer the money.

even when it gets up to the mark you want it, its a slap in the face when travelex for example take .03c for each dollar converted over. I can understand when people are transfering small amounts here and there, they have to make money, but surely there should be a threshold type system which lowers the more you fork over. f-ing bshit.

i would think the AUD against the Euro will fluctuate around 0.66 - 0.72 for the next few months, which is still high enough for me

HSBC foreign currency account.

The AUD is about where it was in March, which according to Brit friends of mine is pretty bloody good considering the past few years performance.

In Australia, you can only withdrawer in USD and HKD from HSBC.

The reason I got GBP account is I'm going to open an account OS and transfer into there ...
