Stupid to buy a wii now?

Or just buy games I want to play on wiiU?

Well it's so damn cheap now. $148 for the console, a controller and Mario Kart. You can sell Mario Kart for $60 on ebay and get something else you like.

Wait for the price drop on WiiU, and later generation games. The WiiU won't come with a Wiimote, although are compatible with them.

Could probably get a Wii second hand real cheap.

Started playing Rayman Origins last night...man what a fun game

Enjoying Zelda so far, but only a few hours in. It feels like they've dumbed it down a bit too much though. Dowsing is stupid. Hopefully the difficulty curve ramps up for the next dungeon / temple. Like the way they've used the watercolour effect to cover up the hardware limitations, though it also makes me yearn for a PS3 / Xbox quality version.

Is it just me or has Nintendo just given up on the Wii? I may be generalizing but the biggest selling console of all time is seriously lacking first party support, third party seems to have ceased all together.

Totally. I've considered getting Boom Street but that's the first thing that's caught my attention in more than a year. It still gets a bootup for Virtual Console games though.

Yep they have given up on it after Skyward Sword got released. I am amazed really, they should be milking that massive userbase for what it's worth ala PS2.

I finally played Wii Sports Resort on the weekend, table tennis is fucking great. It's what the Rockstar TT port should have been like.

It's the first time Square and Nintendo have released one of the Itadaki Street games outside of Japan.

Think Monopoly with dynamic boards, a stock market mechanic where you buy stocks in a district of buildings and put additional capital into those buildings to improve their value, item price, and in turn, the stock value of that district.

It's freaking awesome.

I had a bit of fun playing Monopoly on Wii but ultimately board games are no fun on your own.

May have to fire up the wii on july 6th when ryhthmn heaven fever comes out

ZombiU does look pretty good, except the bit where you have to look at a touchscreen to equip items mid-combat. Also, I saw waggle.

If I can transfer all my Virtual Console games across, I might get one. Emphasis on the might.

Sorta handy that it will just use my existing Wii remotes...at the same time, the Wii remote wasn't as good as it was made out to be, especially with MotionPlus and constant recalibrating. Also more waggle.

EDIT: shit, I didn't think of this. That could be awesome... The gamepad is like a free Virtual Console tablet that comes with the console?

Project Zero 2 Wiimake is available in a few days. Who wants to get their spook on? Really should have been a Wii U launch title though.
