which speakers?
recently got my denon mixer and pioneer cdjs.

beginner dj and i just realised that my z5500 logitech speakers cannot be connected to the mixer!?

is this correct?

if so what amp + speakers should i buy, bearing in mind i don't need it to be loud because it's just for bedroom use.

thanks fellas.

wtf? why not? you probably just need the right leads or some converters. it will cost a lot less this way, unless you are really keen on some new spkrs, in which case get the berhinger truths. cheap, nasty, do the job very well and no amp required.

edit: according to the internet your logitech have the following inputs:

Source Inputs:
- Digital optical for DVD or CD players, PlayStation2, Xbox**
- Digital coaxial for DVD or CD players or PC sound cards (requires coaxial cable, sold separately)
- 6 channel direct (3 stereo-mini connectors) for 2, 4, or 6 channel PC sound cards OR
- 6 channel direct (3 stereo-mini connectors) for 3 stereo analog mini audio sources, like CD and DVD players, Playstation 2, Xbox, or 2 channel PC sound cards (somedevices may require stereo mini to dual RCA adapter, sold separately)
- Analog stereo-mini (on side panel of control center) for portable CD, MP3,or MiniDisc player

even just the bottom one (analog stereo mini) should be good for you if you use this to connect from the mixer.

yeh i wasn't so sure. i would obviously prefer to keep the current speakers.

the denon dnx 100 mixer i have has RCA (red and white) outputs only though im pretty sure? like most mixers? ... unless there's a cable/converters that can change pc cords to rca or coaxial to rca?

you'll need a RCA to female 3.5 converter, if you search around you can find them. I bought one off ebay or some random store online.

yeah what the dude above said u can get a cable which has rca to those regular 3.5mm plugs or even just a converter
but if you want to get new speakers cop some cheap monitors like behringers sometimes you can get heaps cheap used ones on ebay and they do the job well if your just killin it in your bedroom.
