Does anyone have a website or anything for this place? Or is it one of those places where it's filled with people of that ethnicity because it's nice and authentic, and just doesn't have a website because the owners don't know how to go about setting one up (or something like that anyway)?

Makes no difference to me. I've got a few dinner ideas I'd like to try out this week whilst my groceries are still fresh as it is

So I'm guessing we're off again this week? To be honest, even if it goes ahead, I think I'll pike out. Got a mate over from Melbourne as it is, so it's basically boozy times.

Went down to Freo yesterday to watch the AFL grand final. Ended up having dinner at Mad Monk. We just took a selection off the tapas menu. Hats off for their Pork Belly & Seared Scallops. Very well done, with all the right flavours. And at quite a reasonble price too. It ended up being $30 each, even after the $9 JD's!

Speaking of Indian and Mount Lawley, has anyone tried that 2 Fat Indians place next to the Queens Hotel?

Interesting. When I get around to trying it, I'll keep this in mind.

So, when're we gonna try this Gogo's place? I'm not around the first week of November, but I'll be right to roll pretty much any other time.

Ooh, someone say curry?

I've had Gogo's once or twice, imo I've had infinitely better curries. If peeps don't mind the idea of spreading the wings beyond Mt Lawley, may I suggest Jewel of the Park?

^ Jewel of the Park is in Victoria Park. Their vindaloo is fiery hot, but it's rich as well (there's not a lot worse than a vinegary vindaloo with no depth of flavour - "ahem!" Maya Masala).

I have heard there is another curryhouse up the road from JotP that's even better, but I'll have to get back to y'all on its name.

Shame The Cove is a bit too far afield. It's received a great deal of praise from reviewers and it's taken home a swag of awards too. I haven't been yet though.

Great value (5 mains for $44ish) + desert + wine (extensive list but navigationable)... think we could hit this for a classy night out

What's that Buddha Bar place like in Subi? I've heard a few things about it, and it seems like it's OK, but I'm always a bit apprehensive about places that seem to get a bit of a spotlight.

So when're we doing this next thing?

Not quite Perth, but had some really good food down in Busselton recently. Got the lamb shanks at Vasse in town, sooo good. And the food at Broadwater Beach Bar and Brassiere was cooked to perfection.
