5 Piece Gabriel Gate cookware set, $79:

Plus a nice endgrain chopping board, a 30cm wok, 20l brushed steel pedal bin, a bunch of glassware and cooking utensils.

Yeah pretty chuffed with the pot set, sticker price was $315, chopping board was $27 down from about $75 too. Harris Scarfe if anyone's interested.

Nice work mate. I've been stocking up on all that shit the last few months. I bought non stick stuff though, easier to clean.

I already had half a kitchen worth of decent gear, most of which has been in storage for the last 2 years since I last lived with my ex. pretty cool being able to complete the setup, and not have any cheap rubbish or useless stuff cluttering up the cupboards, probably the first time I'll ever have ben in that position. Gonna be nice to have my Circulon pans and Tablekraft cutlery out again

Does it? How does one carry out this lifetime warranty? My current Raco frying pan is getting tired now.

^ I've got something along those lines. It's good but it becomes a pain in the ass pulling it out all the time. Would prefer a proper food processor that just sits on the bench.

The RACO stuff is good. They make up my generic pots and pans, but my deep dish saucepan from Swiss Diamond is fucking AMAZING.

Nothing sticks. I've had it two years and it still looks brand new.

Be careful when your washing the stab blender attachment Kelly, I found that water and milk and all sorts of fun stuff got into the internals through the top and is very hard to drain, it goes fucking rank after a while and its difficult to clean once its gone feral. Just don't submerge the top part of it and it should be fine.

For saucepans I am sure RACO may be fine..
Lifetime guarantee on non stick products is pretty lame when you lose the receipt but they also have strict conditions on the non stick surface. Like don't wash a hot pan or use detergents I guess one of mine did last 4 years before the Teflon started to peel away but I would never buy another like it.

I like the Baccarat cookware. Have a Hard Anodised Stir Fry that does everything I need and has a nice cooking surface as well as heating up very quickly. They aren't too expensive 125 for mine and I will get a Cast Iron Square Grill some time from the same brand.

Have never found any need to buy sets of cookware on sale/reduced. Would rather spend on something decent that I essentially need and is made from decent materials and nicely weighted that will last for ages if looked after well.

What is it with all this non stick talk? especially with pots for boiling and sauces? What would you be doing wrong to make it stick?

You appear to make enough coin to afford what I can't but ya never know as I don't post my business all over the forums. And regardless it means nothing if you can't cook

Just a friendly observation

Exactly... my lil sis handed me down some of those type pots a decade ago and I have only managed to stick a sauce to the pot because I was drunk and burnt it..but my greatest amusement was all the glue on the handles on the lids fell off because of the heat/steam. So I used the set up with burnt fingers.

I have no issues with what I paid for the items, otherwise I'd not have purchased them!
