Alexander Johansson - Dementia Praecox EP [ARMAB029]

ALEXANDER JOHANSSON | DEMENTIA PRAECOX EP

Combining new knowledge with old ideas has always been the driving force behind Techno as new EP from Alexander Johansson suggests here. With 3 blinding tracks presenting what Alex has been doing in the shadows past years, we hear roaring sound of Sweden packed in ‘Petroil’ with nice percs and well driving groove. On a funkier floor note ‘Creeps’ is a big beat smasher which rolls out all the way. Third track ‘The Disease’ comes for the heavier heads with abrasive sound, and weird noises appearing randomly throughout. Final track is a remix by Jeff F of Subforce and it’s an interpretation of ‘Petroil’, rough, metallic, and ever bursting work full of thundering breaks. For the fans of Darker, Harder and Proper Techno mixage, dementia is here.

Quality release, comes in a wellrounded bundle! Thanks for sharing!" - 8/10

After a successful debut year featuring no less than 5 top quality EP’s Dubmetrical make their first foray into the scene for 2012. M. Weber 'Shockraum EP' is out now on Dubmetrical!

M. Weber – Shockraum EP with remixes from Javier Orduna and Emanuele Pertoldi
Listen and buy: http://www.beatport.com/release/shockraum/916034

Making his second appearance on the labelM.Weber’s techno romper ‘Shockraum’ kicks proceedings of in style with elementary true to the roots of techno production styles in full view. Not letting up from the moment the track starts ‘Shockraum’ just keeps rising and rising to fine peak.
True to form this ep features 2 more debutant artists once again showing Dubmetricals ambitions to bring new talent through, first up Javier Orduna puts an old skool twist on ‘Shockraum’, reflecting nicely on the original while maintaining the connection and original vibes. Completing the line up and also making his debut on the label Emanuele Pertoldi’s take goes down a more dark and sinister avenue while again staying within touching distance of a very strong original production.
All in all a very welcome and overdue return to the fold for a high quality label.

Javid Ghersi - Golden Gate incl. Alexander Fog, An On Bast

Javid Ghersi is back to Progrezo's family with his brand new gemstone ready to break up the dance-floors around the world! Venezuelan well known DJ and producer proves himself once again as one of the leading artists within the finest tech-house and techno movement in his country, and one of tomorrow's best talents to watch!

When top Dj names such as Richie Hawtin adds to their live repertoire music stuff from other producers, it guarantees the quality with the music has been produced, giving it an indubitable stamp of credibility without any objection, and this is the case of Javid Ghersi.

His latest release 'Seeking The Light EP' got massive support from M_nus head of honcho Richie Hawtin, traveling the world during the past 3 months at top of Richie's live set, playing it at the best festivals and clubs world over, including Sonar 2012.

Javid has had the opportunity to perform at the most prestigious events in Central America along with the best local and international talents, offering to the electronic music fans his authentic techno and tech-house style, many times alongside some of the biggest names within the arena including Tiesto, Michel Clais, Mark Tyler, Michel Clais, DDR, Mauro Picotto, Chris Liberator and Dave The Drummer among others.

Javid Ghersi has had numerous of performances in Venezuela at the most important cities including Caracas, Merida, Margarita, Valencia, Barquisimeto, Punto fijo, Pto Ordaz, Pto la Cruz, Maracay, Macaraibo, besides out of his country in Barcelona, Marbella, Tenerife, Mexico DF, Guadalajara, Pto Vallarta, Costa Rica and Medellin only to name a few.

As imposing and majestic bridge in San Francisco as it is, Javid's brand new gemstone 'Golden Gate' brings the necessary elements for success by its own. Here the Venezuelan producer delivers a huge piece full of energy at the dance-floor, built by precise techy house beats over dynamic bass-line and suggestive atmospheres, claiming its own place this European Summer as one of the most played underground tracks!

Not enough with such as original Pearl, the jewel case brings new stones featuring remixes from several of the most commented artists as Alexander Fog, Andrea Casula, Daniel Axellson and Ivan Llamazares as they are.

The plane is commanded by one of well known artists within the Polish electronic music scene, featured already on Progrezo Records months ago with such as an impressive remix of Lukasz Napora’s Lone Song piece. An On Bast the pseudonym of Anna Suda, is a Polish electronic producer whose music dots the 'i's and crosses the 't's but gives a little more sonic interest thanks to an investigative approach to production. Her music ranges from expertly crafted meditative moments of sublime electronic bliss, to dance floor friendly oddities, bringing her the honest maturity to produce electronic music already supported by Luciano, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Jeff Milligan, Konrad Black, Alexi Delano, Stephan Bodzin and Paco Osuna among many more. Her remix interpretation is full of dub spirit focused on deep bass-lines and dreamlike middle west touch, here Anna proves himself as prolific producer with non boundaries at the studio. Definitively an artist to watch!

Next on the plane Alexander Fog is without a doubt one of the most exciting new producers to emerge in the global tech house and deep house scene. This Italian born and raised music purist is making huge waves in the underground techno and tech house genre, upsetting the status quo by proving what is possible when one combines undisputed talent, a great deal of passion for music and vast determination. With an impressive series of high-end releases and remixes on the upper league of worldwide quality labels and the exposure he gains as a direct result, Alexander Fog is rapidly becoming a household name in his beloved world of quality music. Hailing from Northern Italy, Alexander Fog developed a deep rooted love for electronic music during his teenage years while self-teaching him the art of DJ-ing. Pursuing to be a part of the EDM community, Alexander Fog started to work as a promoter for Move The Boyz to later become the leader of the electronic movement Warriors. He began touring throughout Europe as a DJ playing house music and visited countries such as Italy, The Netherlands, Switzerland and Belgium in clubs such as Cubik, Essence and Evolving. Alexander spent a significant amount of years in Amsterdam, sucking up the hedonistic atmosphere of the Dutch capital by DJ-ing and organising events. During Alexanders Amsterdam era where he roamed the city exploring its underground culture, he got infected with underground techno and tech house. After moving back to Italy, Alexander Fog began playing tech house and minimal in some of the countrys biggest clubs and venues.

Alexander is a true globetrotter. Having travelled the world whilst examining various cultures and coming across all aspects of the global nightlife, Alexander resided all over Europe and North America and South America. The experience of encountering a wide variety of musical styles became evident in his DJ-ing, his productions and the way he observes the electronic dance culture in general. Alexander Fog is not a person to be pigeonholed or stigmatized; he produces from the heart without being influenced by contemporary hypes. In October 2010, Alexander participated in - and ultimately won - a prestigious mix competition set up by the leading and influential UK magazine DJ Mag in conjunction with LetsMix.com. Being amongst thousands of participants to eventually being crowned the outright winner delivered Alexander Fog a media package worth $7,500 and a full page article in DJ Mag, giving him tremendous exposure to both the music industry as well as the global clubbers. As a result, Alexander got to tour North America, where he rocked the masses in Las Vegas, Miami and Tampa hot spots, and South America to invade Medellin, Cali and Armenia in Colombia, the epicentre of techno at that time and considered to be one of the strongest techno scenes on the planet. The year 2011 saw Alexander Fog taking off to become an established producer and a household name, due to an exciting string of releases and remixes on acclaimed labels. Imprints such as Nervous Records, New League, Plastic City, Selekted Music, LOT49 and many more all received an distinctive Alexander Fog treatment, best described as a blend of techno, a touch of deep house with a sneaky pinch of tribal house influences. Alexander Fog productions are regularly to be found in the UK Buzz Charts, the ultimate UK guideline for tracks which are about to get hot on the floors as well as in A-list playlists. Having a regular spot in the UK Buzz Chart proves that Alexander Fog is well on his way to firmly reaping what this Italian craftsman has been sowing over the many years.

Steadily building and expanding his brand, Alexander Fog took Darkstar to Miami in March 2012 to host not one, but two Darkstar showcases during the Winter Music Conference, held under the We Are Darkstar moniker. Next to the rammed showcases, Alexander Fog performed on no less than twelve additional WMC events, clearly marking the growth of this multi talent. Following the successes of his We Are Darkstar events and to celebrate Darkstars ever growing catalogue, a We Are Darkstar digital compilation series was started to be released on a regular base on the digital highways. With a tracklist taken from the extensive Darkstar catalogue, the We Are Darkstar series will cater the needs of those in search of the finest deep house and tech house in the scene. To spread the passion for deep house and tech house on a global scale, Alexander Fog took it up a notch, joined the radio show community and developed his own radio show The Gourmet Club, presenting one hour of the finest house, deep house and tech house cuts. The internationally acclaimed broadcaster Radio FG embraced The Gourmet Club by giving the show a weekly one hour slot, to be aired every Friday between 9pm and 10pm CET, with more radio stations to follow soon. Head of honchos at Techno Mafia Recs and Darkstar, Alexander Fog has achieved an army of upfront releases and their own place within the finest electronic music industry as trustful cutting-edge brand to get involved with. Now is the turn to shuffle the cards at Progrezo Records family and flick the faders up with Alexander Fog’ particular style. His remix proves Alexander himself as notorious and prolific producer from deep atmospheres to high tech beats. Using by thorough original stems in addition his own elements, Alexander delivers a subtle dub version giving relevance on the sub bass-line to stab with a quality techno piece on the fly.

Next on the cabin, Italian Andrea Casula has been in the focus at different imprints world over due his peak-time productions featured already on Mystika Records, Italo Business, Aufnahmen, 1980 Recordings and Fever Sound among others. Rivoli’s born Andrea Casula started djing when he was 18 at the most important clubs of Torino including La Gare, Templares, Chalet, Millionaire and Patio Club among others, getting with enough experience to feel how the dance-floor moves the night. Andrea Casula features a moving-forward interpretation by stomped techno beats. Here Andrea himself takes control of everything around him adding huge tension to the mix by highest quality sound making an indubitable tool aimed straight for peak-time DJ sets.

Seated next is Ivan Llamazares. A talented young producer from Spain already introduced in Progrezo Records by high quality music. Ivan is a synonymous of dance music, having under his belt releases next to Martin Villeneuve, Spektre, Uto Karem, Nicole Moudaber, Ramon Tapia, Martin Dawson, Oliver Klein, Kolombo, Loko, David Amo and Julio Navas among many more. nonus - Flood EP

★ Awesome release all round here, lush interesting beautiful electronic music full of originality and character – top release!- Max Cooper

★ Crisp and solid sounds coming from newcomer talent. An artist to watch! Gare Mat K

nonus is composed by two tone-deaf young with a seizure machine and a history of bad manners. Sound experiments and visual art collected by the Spanish duo, reproduces and control performances live, encouraging mistakes, decorating loosely written compositions.

Their studio productions are rather modern, driving through different techno landscapes over subtle but solid sometimes broken beats. Strong bass-lines influenced by German underground style, are kind of notorious in their studio gems moving-forward ambiances surrounded by delicacy.

Their debut release ‘Flood EP’ delivers cutting-edge techno-electronica stuff over strong bass-lines and stomped beats, driving through Cinematic Landscapes as ‘Dollar’ as it is.

Taken from a Burton’s mind-trip, ‘Flood’ reveals ‘nonus’ prolific side as a newcomer talent to watch. Broken beats raised from top notch techno atmospheres brings strength to the package taking it to a new mind level. Kind of suggestive environment it creates on the fly, along with with an overwhelming edit that nonus features under the name of ‘Miami Edit’.

When recognized artists within the finest music industry highlights refers about specific producers bordering on the supernatural”, it’s the cue for the rest of dance music to stand up and take notice, and this is the case of nonus. We are sure that important news are from nonus to expect.
