Ha Ha Ha - well, obviously I love the release!

Thanks DSK, Kana (and Yosuke) regarding Get Away From It All - really chuffed myself to get that feedback from you guys - and yes, Ben, Orlando Voorn plagiarized your earlier review!!

Butter Party - Eat The Mushroom (+Mike Hulme/Analogue Rmx)

BUTTER PARTY - EAT THE MUSHROOM with remixes from Mike Hulme & Analogue [TC008]

After a 6 month hybernation in a quiet part of the woods, Butter Party is back with another slice of bouncy tech-funk. His latest EP offers two originals, Eat The Mushroom and Beezwax. Somewhat different to his usual sawtooth-heavy leads, Eat The Mushroom opts for a more subby bassline and decorates the top-end with a whirlwind of 8-bit squeaks and LFOs. Beezwax on the other hand tears the listener a new earhole with a punishing electro beat, buzzing melody and a sawtooth that goes BBBWWWAARRRRR!

On remix duty we have production whiz Mike Hulme (aka. Introspective), who delivers a stunning techno retake on Eat The Mushroom, with some of the sexiest synth tweaking we've heard since... well, since his last remix quite frankly! Mike certainly understands peaks and troughs, and this remix leaves you scrambling for the rewind button.

Last but not least are upcoming fidget monsters Analogue! Dawson & Crin have grabbed the 2009 electro-fidget scene by the balls with their unapologetically twisted rerubs that are destroying dancefloors around the globe, and their remix of Eat The Mushroom is no exception. The original has been completely gutted, and rewubwubbed to the power of wonk! Riva Starr would be proud!

I didn't think the vinyl was out there yet.. absolutely awesome...... I listened to my copy a few times over .. and I must say your remix on that release is a bloody thumper....

I have been reasonably informed that Yello Terra will be featuring elek-rec 001 at the Tekno Mulisha gig with Chris Liberator on Saturday night .. .

Alpharisc, one of Melbourne's original Techno kids is back for an exclusive E.P on Tranztek! After being out of the scene for some 5 years now...we made it a mission to track Alpharisc down in hopes of getting some new material. As well as releasing some of those classics that although were featured on many of the Wet Musik compilation cds, never saw any official label releases. We've done just that! 6 tracks on offer here. Eastern, Define Live & Homeless being first created in 1999. Also 3 new tunes. Deltbat which is a fusion of Techno and Dubstep. Horus brings a nice uplifting tech trance vibe & a remix of the classic "Eastern" by label manager and Aussie nu breed techno producer Chris Dynasty.

From the days when Melbourne was once hailed as "Techno City" we give a tribute to one of the original pioneers of the sound that runs deep in so many in Melbourne and beyond.

1. Define Live
2. Deltbat
3. Eastern
4. Eastern(Chris Dynasty Remix)
5. Homeless
6. Horus

Artist: Ruud Mover Featuring Miss Amberlie
Tune: Love Shock
Label: Breakloose
Catt :LOOSE0209
Release date: Out now

Watch the You Tube Video here:
http://www.youtube.com/user/breakloosemusic

After the massive 2008 club and radio hit from Starjackers 'Givin All My Love, Breakloose return with another big room tune...
'RuudMover' aka DJ and producer Marcus Gauntlett is perhaps one of the most prolific producers on the scene over the last few years, having recorded under various aliases including 'Bobkat' as well as being one half of top 40 act 'LnM Project' (Hed Kandi), In addition to this he has also clocked up an impressive catalogue of cutting-edge club tracks under his own name.

Now in 2009 he returns under his new guise 'Ruud Mover', together with the multi-talented model, TV Presenter and former member of girlband 'Cookie' Marianne Antoniades (also recently crowned ‘Bedroom Babe of the Year’ by Nuts magazine). Their debut single features the catchy yet poignant lyrics from elusive US-based songwriter 'Miss Amberlie' (who has also recently penned songs for various major top 10 Billboard artists)

Originally tastemakered out to the chosen few mid last year to great reactions, 'Love Shock' now comes complete with a superb Starjackers remix as well as a minimal electro rework from new faces on Micky Slim's 'Bombsquad' label 'Escobar & Vito'. Also featured are big-room bassline mixes from Davey Boy and Nicky G on a classic organ tip, a 4x4 mix from rising bassline star Joe Hunt and a quality loved-up piano driven mix from 'D-Cord'.

Lyrically resonant with a strong package of mixes in place and a sexy video promo, 'Love Shock' is undoubtedly set to be serious contender for one of the big tunes of 2009, working across the board for girls and boys alike. -

TRACKLIST:

01- Love Shock (Starjackers Radio Edit)
02 - Love Shock (D-Cord Edit)

DJ FODDER
"Busted Piano" (Max Durante remix)

Hypnotic Room Special Edition 015

Youve heard of funky right? That new style that is post-dubstep; a mix of bass, funky house, garage, tribal techno, etc, that people like Kode9 - who runs Hyperdub - are repping as cool? Well, I reckon this is kinda funky sounding.

So enthused Luke Snarl, one half of ber-cool, long-time Sydney-based electronic music pioneers Sub Bass Snarl, when he first heard DJ Fodders Busted Piano a couple of months ago.

Funky and glitchy and a slice of obscurity that is, yes, somehow housey and funky, its the first DJ Fodder offering in almost 10 years - and the first Fodder single since the ground-breaking Cocaine Speaking (since remixed by Mijk van Dijk, Dave Tarrida, Captain Funk, DJ Warp and others).

Mind-bendingly innovative, we think this new and original track could help re-shape the way we listen to techno - which is why we requested veteran Rome-based DJ/producer Max Durante to remix the number.

One of the pioneers of Italian techno with Leo Anibaldi, strongly influenced by hip-hop and electro funk, Durante continues to be an exceptional talent who has worked with Anthony Rother, the DArcangelo brothers (Rephlex), DJ Hell, and Keith Tucker from Aux 88.

His resultant comeback mix is a fantastic ride that explores the terrain of the original but makes it housier and more suave, like a sunset track in high summer at a cool club in the Mediterranean, clubbers nursing a Campari and soda out there on the dance floor. And that 303 bassline coming in at the 3:20 mark, out of nowhere, is downright tasty.

Innovative and cool all at once, Busted Piano is one very special double-offering.
