INFO:

To celebrate 10 years of Deepblue Records and to coincide with the success of the recent commended album mixed by Filo & Peri, Deepblue proudly presents 'Blueprints - The Chilled Edition' ... A stunningly crafted album featuring 22 timeless and moving tracks, including exclusive unreleased ambient reworks as well as highlighting brand new music from some of most cutting edge ambient artists in the scene today.

Exemplifying a deeper alternative side to the label whilst exhibiting its multi-talented stable of artists, the album is a seamless journey compiled and mixed by one of the dance industries most instrumental figures over the last 10 years - producer Andy Bury... Not only head honcho of the Deepblue label, Andy is also globally known for his own work which has featured on many of the best 'chillout' compilations of the 21st Century. As the former half of Solarstone, his 'afterhours' reworks of high profile acts such as Oakenfold ('Southern Sun') and Sarah Mc Lachlan ('Worlds On Fire') are still to this day considered classics. In addition, the highly acclaimed 'Chilled Out Euphoria' album, which he also co- produced, went top 5 in the album charts selling in excess of 100,000 copies.

Throughout the Blueprints journey you will discover a vast array of ambient remixes of many tracks on the label, together with some of the better-known 'chill out' tracks which have found their way onto many of the more successful compilation albums of the genre over the last decade.

Showcasing a vast array of rising talents in the scene, the ever present aptitude of London based producer Corderoy supplies not one but four pieces of flair and finesse. Also featured is Russia's 'Update Project' whose productions make a significant contribution to the albums character.
Carefully blending between darker soundtrack-esque pieces and laid back downtempo grooves. Well known names also fall seamlessly within the soundscape, together with gorgeous remixes of anthemic moments including Solarstone and JES 'Like A Waterfall' from Big Chill stalwarts 'Flipside'

So relax and enjoy this perfect accompaniment for the 'chillout' fan, seamlessly blended heavenly-sounding expeditions through classically inspired atmospheric music.

1. Alex Ward- The Showcase
2. Alex Ward- The Showcase (Fromage Disco Remix)

[new release] Sawtooth Sucka Remixes of Crazy by Wasted Chicago Youth
After the success of the Kink Don't Hold Back .Dotbleep is back again with another heater for all you house and techno heads!
Sawtooth Sucka Remixes of Crazy by Wasted Chicago Youth ( A Justin Long & Mazi Namvar production ) , Justin Harris of the Freaks and Shady Tvo.
seeing support from the likes of Stacy Pullen and Slam to the other side of the spectrum with Dj Heather and Hipp-e this is a release that has something for everyone!

Be on the look out for the next release by .Dotbleep mastermind Justin Long in mid November.

available now on Beatport.com

https://www.beatport.com/en-US/html/...l/948/Dotbleep

Subsequent to the triumph of Sawtooth Sucka’s Crazy we at the .Dotbleep factory saw it to be time to wire and Frankenstein the jam with some new remixes for today’s sonic battlefield! 1st up on deck Wasted Chicago Youth ( Justin Long & Mazi Namvar of Audio Soul Project ) cuts us a slice of their special blend of Chicago house and Detroit techno flavor, fused together in a way that only the boys can do. Taking influence from the Prescription records days extemporizing sounds in a backwards and forward form and then adding their signature beats and analog machine madness to the composition to complete their abstract picture of dance floor hubbub.

Next up to bat Justin Harris long term house mad scientist and Freaks alumni shows us just how freaky he can take things while keeping true to the original. This one is a semi truck rolling full speed and out of control on the acid house highway!

The deal closer and .Dotbleep resident Shady Tvo brings another phat bass serving to the dinner table. Growing to be known for his love of 808 drum machines and Chicago ghetto house music he draws us another picture of his north side grime! This one is not for the lightweights and is ready to eat speakers like a hungry kid digging into a bowl of mac and cheese! After the success of his remix of Shake Them Gears and the forthcoming of Tvo’s single to be released this year Shady Tvo is on a roll!

Segue and Vitreous, 'Pine'
The latest release through Melbourne's Smash Bang Records is a collaboration between Aussie producers Segue (Dave Dri, ex-Superfluid) and Vitreous (Chris Buckridge, ex-My Ninja Lover), enigmatically entitled 'Pine'.

The result of a transcontinental working relationship, the release includes two mixes that reflect the different sides of two unique musical personalities: the "Atlantic Mix" is a more melodic, minimal trip, while the "Pacific Mix" strips down to the essentials, leaving a raw, visceral groove.

The release is also one of several releases marking a rejuvenated push for Smash Bang, which after a bit of a break is coming back with some real quality from owner Ehsan Gelsi and assorted partners-in-crime!

Anyway, you can check out the two tunes at:
http://soundcloud.com/vitreous/sets/segue-vitreous-pine

And grab them on Beatport if you like what you hear!

GRUM
Single: Heartbeats
Release date: 26th Oct
Label: Heartbeats
Remixes: Joe & Will Ask?, Worship, Weird Tapes & Stockholm Syndrome

Support inc:
Aeroplane, Annie Mac, Rob Da Bank, Peter Hook (New Order), Roger Taylor (Duran Duran), Autokratz & Streetlife DJs
No.5 Cool Cuts Chart

"This is the greatest song of the 21st Century and if anyone tries to tell you otherwise they are an idiot...or they're an idiot who hasn't heard it." -
Peter Robinson (Pop Justice/NME) - Record of The Day (25/9/09)
"He may reside in Leeds but Grum certainly ain't grim - he's super, super!"
Super Super
"Our hottest tip since Aeroplane first took off" - Mixmag
"If Grum is what the future of electronic music sounds like, save us a spot on the dancefloor" - Nylon
"Grum returns with another dancefloor destroyer" - Daily Record
"The blog kids have decided that they can't wait any longer for new Mylo material, so a fresh sample and synth hero has been elected to save us from Calvin Harris overload" - Future Music
9/10 - I-DJ

Following on from the almighty 'Sound Reaction' and 'Runaway', much hyped 23-year old Scotsman; Graeme Shepherd AKA Grum is back with yet another dancefloor destroyer, the almighty infectious 'Heartbeats'.

Already play-listed by DJs as diverse as Rex The Dog, Aeroplane and Pendulum, 'Heartbeats' is the kind of track that Mylo's 'In My Arms' would have sounded like if he'd been raving to Justice for the past couple of years.

Taking inspiration from two of Grum's favourite albums, Daft Punk's 'Discovery' and Human League's 'Dare', 'Heartbeats' coarses through the veins, causing the same sort of pulse altering reactions that only true dance classics have the ability to do. Grum explains "Heartbeats was my first attempt at a real crossover dance tune, fusing French-house, pop, and Italo disco along with a cheeky sample from an 80s legend. It's my favourite tune I've ever written, hope you like it too!".

With his electrifying re-workings of songs by artists including Passion Pit, Friendly Fires and most recently Lady Gaga and David Guetta, Grum is simply the producer and remixer-du-jour for a wide range of tastemakers it surely wont be long before DJs have at least three of his productions in their sets!

When not holed-up in his studio in Leeds, Grum can be seen DJing at top places around the world from Bestival to The Warehouse Project (Manchester) to Razmatazz (Barcelona), all this in between planning some pretty special elements for his live shows, and adding the finishing touches to an album, which will most definitely be one of the hottest debut records of 2010 - we can hardly wait!

Check out the awesome 'Heartbeats' video

Men’s Health Playlist Vol. 4
Endurance Booster Mixed By Richard Durand

Release date:
November 3rd, 2009
Available here:
http://www.fitmix.co.uk/newreleases/306

Richard Durand provides the seamless music mix for the fourth in Total Fitness Music’s groundbreaking series of custom made DJ mixed workout albums with Men’s Health magazine.

The right workout soundtrack can cut your perceived exertion by 10%, according to research at Brunel University by Dr Costas Karageorghis. He used a cutting-edge quartic formula to find the perfect musical bpm to power you through a session designed to deliver huge endurance gains quickly, and specifically condition you to tackle distance running.

Richard Durand then hand-picked a superb track selection featuring Alex O’Rion, Andy Duguid, Airbase and Vimana among his own productions and crafted a 90 minute mix to those specific scientific requirements.

Richard Durand has headlined top club nights from Godskitchen to Gatecrasher, and re-mixed everything from The Prodigy’s Smack My Bitch Up to Snow Patrol’s Chasing Cars. A regular in DJ Magazine’s Top 100, this year he’s had an Essential Mix spot on Radio 1 and recently released a widely acclaimed debut album Always The Sun.

Heh-heh... good question; we actually released IF099 the other day - just releasing stuff a wee bit out of order at the moment. Happens sometimes with labels, especially disorganized ones like ours.

If you're really interested, up-to-date IF? discography is here.

Matt Farrell - Casting Couch

Label:Fractured Beats
Cat:FRA007
Released: Out now

In it's original version this is one of those epic journey into the abyss, working the hypnotic, highly memorable hook and spine-crawling bassline with the greatest ease. 'Casting Couch' is a blend of techno-smart keyboards in juxtaposition to the taut melodramatic hook, Nick Cenik's stripped down mix is joined by an equally driving and mind-enveloping trek by GLVG, who's eerie synths compliment the pulsating rhythms and Moogybasslines. Minimal modernism at its resonating best.
(5 out of 5 - Essential)

Package Mixes:

1. "Casting Couch" (original mix)
2. "Casting Couch" (Matt Farrell remix)
3. "Casting Couch" (Nick Cenik remix)
4. "Casting Couch" (GLVG remix)
5. "Casting Couch" (radio mix)
6. "Casting Couch" (GLVG radio mix)

The Carter Bros - 'Metropolitan' Out now on Juno

The Carter Bros are some friends of mine from Adelaide who have just released their 3rd album 'Metropolitan' on new label Cuckoo Music.

This starts out deep and techy, progressing through house & disco, and finishes with you in the middle of a packed club with your hands in the air.

It's 13 tracks, 12 unmixed tunes with the last track a DJ mix of the whole release.

I'm also bringing these guys up to Brisbane in mid-January to support Kazu Kimura. So keep the 16th Jan (the saturday night before Big Day Out) pencilled into your diary if you're in Brissy!

Get it here from Juno Download

Upcoming:

JATOD002-Splatter-Induced Musik

Splatter is a 21 year old producer from Merida Mexico, with huge recognition within Central America. His style is deep and sinister inspired by the world surrounding him. An abstract experience, mixed with an unusual non-lineal structure base. His style deeply evolves from underground minimal aesthetics and suburban tech-glitching compositions. A digestible organism of ironic sequences oscillating between a shine effect and the feeling of an endless fog.

JATOD002 is Splatters first maxi-EP release on jatounit.

Splatter – Induced Musik, is an EP dedicated to the mature listener. Full of big abstract sequences and mind shredding sounds. The music get you into a deep and melancholic world full of demonic sub layers, and you will find yourself surrounded by hyped arppegiators and hypnotic grooves . This is a recommendable EP which brings you an almost vivid look into the world that he see’s.

Tracks:
01-Splatter-Portales
02-Splatter-Estado Alpha
03-Splatter-Mental Bunker (extrated version)
04-Splatter-Induced Musik
05-Splatter-Hipnosis Minima
06-Splatter-Versteckte

Download:
http://jatounit.de/jatod002_mp3.rar

The release will be available through Beatport.com & Itunes

Sincerely,

Agree with Ben - original mix and Warp's variation of 'Component' works a treat, and ‘Zero Nine’ is also sweet.

Peak time. Dark Room. Gold rush.

Originally released in 2007 on Unfoundsound, digital sister label to Foundsound run by Someone Else, Gold Rush was a stripped back acid stormer that found favour with DJs around the globe. Now in 2009, Haul Music is proud to present a fresh batch of remixes that will strike deep into the dancefloor vein.

Our dark horse, Craig McWhinney, has visited the other side. Seething textures all vie for latex domnination in this heavy dancefloor bomb. He has turned the low frequency into his whipping boy and the groove his slave. Spectacular and shimmering in the shadows we present to you Gold Rush. Not content with a one horse race, this gem has been reworked by Someone Else, Markojux and our very own Mike Callander. Cross the dancefloor and strike it lucky. We beseech you...

Support from DJ Hell, Phil Kieran, SIan, Konrad Black, Agoria, Gel Abril, Paco Osuna, Grindvik, Brother's Vibe, Benno Blome, Deepchild and many many more....
