SEBASTIAN BAYNE / LITTLE NOBODY
Split 12-Inch, Minus Vinyl #9

IF?

A special treat, this - two remixes of Little Nobody's track 'Compulsion' cooked up in Moscow by one of our favourite nomadic, ever-traveling Sydneysiders, Sebastian Bayne (aka DJ Slab), the former editor of 3D World magazine, who I played with in Beijing way back in 2001 (at Seb's club), and who's currently baking some of the best tech-house/electronica we've heard.

1. Compulsion (Mockba Mix один)
2. Compulsion (Mockba Mix два)

Gen010 100% Pure EP Generator UK
10th online release from underground party driven label Generator UK.

http://www.djtunes.com/various-artists/100-pure-ep

http://www.audiojelly.com/?a=singles/359595

'100% Pure' from 3PHAZEGENERATOR is Funky Tek. Tribal Glitch Meltdown rolls on the groove featuring Requium for a dream doing some of the 'good s**t'.

'Your Time Is Now' from DARKTONES brings raw minmal madness and a solid tune for any djs set!! Gotta be checked from this up and coming UK Producer.

'FreakDoubt' from SKELTA gives a superb tek synth journey that moves with a minimal funksta groove. More coming soon from this original UK artist.

[foundsound22] barem - heyday ep (paul ritch + more)
12” vinyl and digital release courtesy of foundsound records...

foundsound-22
artist: barem
title: heyday ep
remixes by: paul ritch, ronan portela, jorge savoretti
beatport release date: february 23, 2010
vinyl release date: march 8, 2010
other digital sites release date (juno, wpp, etc.): march 9, 1020

out now on beatport only! (vinyl and other digital sites coming march 8 and 9!)
get it now by clicking this direct link: beatport

barem of minus and foundsound fame finally delivers another bomb on foundsound records. and you get an emotive big room killer remix courtesy of paul ritch. plus you get two floor-pumping tech-house remixes courtesy of ronan portela and jorge savoretti.

on a1 – “heyday” – our argentinean friend barem delivers an eleven-minute minimal anthem. both haunting and blissful, this track flows as if going from night into day. it starts off dark and groovy with reverberating vocal cuts, a bouncy bassline and captivating breakdowns. as the track progresses, it gently morphs into something perfect for any sunrise – with enchanting guitar chords, a perfect little house hi-hat, a perfect little clap, and an irresistible groove that heightens any party into the morning hours.

on b1 – “heyday (paul ritch remix)” – you get just under nine minutes of club-storming tech-house with a remix from parisian paul ritch – known for releases on labels like get physical music, wagon repair, resopal schallware, drumcode, and the list goes on. this big room gem carries over the darkness of the vocal cuts from barem’s original version along with an almost proggy, early-morning intensity that is fueled by swirling melodies, enthralling delays and a groovy bassline that’ll have people bouncing and floating all over the dancefloor.

on track 3 (digital only) – “heyday (ronan portela remix)” – argentina’s ronan portela makes a super-sweet follow-up to his ep on foundsound, piumino ep (found-22), which continues to be played and charted by super-duper djs like richie hawtin and others. on this remix, you get an uplifting, oh-so-fun-to-play, groovy-as-hell tech-house bomb that’ll have people bouncing through the roof. it’s powerful, delightfully intense, and perfectly groovy.

on track 4 (digital only) – “heyday (jorge savoretti remix)” – jorge savoretti, another argentinean, of esperanza fame, delivers a deep and wondrously groovy tech-house nugget that’ll have peeps floating through a mesmerizing vocal loop, reverberated congas, a bouncy groove, and breakdowns that make ‘em go “wooooooo!”

woo-hoo!

Don't listen to much techy/minimal these days but I really dig this track that is off Pantha Du Prince's last album "Black Noise". Highly recommended.

Really lush sounding synths sounds around the 4:40 mark.

Media Player
There is pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more.... Lord Byron

^ Isn't it?

Ben's done a grand job with his dirty-tech original, and the remixes are interesting deviations from that theme... oh yeah, and here's the video (forgot to insert this above):

[circle026] Outlandos Alex Flatner & Oliver Klein

CIRCLE 026 // Outlandos // Alex Flatner & Oliver Klein

Artist: Alex Flatner & Oliver Klein
Title: Outlandos
Cat.: Circle 026_6
Label: Circle Music
Format: Vinyl 12”
Style: Tech-House/Techno

A1 “Outlandos” (Original Mix)
B1 “Outlandos” (Santos Provocation Remix)

info :

Circle Music’s Alex Flatner is back at his own imprint together with one of Germany\'s most successful and busiest DJs and producers Oliver Klein. With this release Circle Music continues its series of high quality records also in 2010. Just remember the “Mechanic Side Of Nature” compilation (compilation of the month in Raveline), “La Terrazza” or “The Egg – Contemporary London”. Signing artists like Umek, Gui Boratto, Sebastien Leger or Lopazz in the past . But first we are happy to welcome legendary Santos who made the remix on this single and Oliver Klein.

A_“Outlandos” (Original Mix): Starting with great offbeats Oliver Klein, who had his first release on the own label Mutekki together with his friend Jürgen Driessen and is magnetized by techno music since 1989 and labelhead Alex Flatner, who had his first Cocoon release in summer last year together with his mate Lopazz (Get Physical), are going straight forward just from the beginning using this offbeat percussion line as intense groove amplifier. Concentrating on functionality the inscipient monotonic illuminate the arrangement and create an euphoric rave atmosphere. Thus both international respected artists created a breathless peak time track that will shake the floors.
B_“Outlandos” (Santos Provocation Remix): With his twisted bassline and rough percussions the father of the shakedelic sound who had his biggest success with his track “Camels” in 2000 on Mantra Vibes and convinced on Moon Harbour with his Track “Hold Home” last year, gives us a razor sharp interpretation while using the chords of the original version. The honest detroit atmosphere the man who stands behind the project Mutant Clan together with Timo Maas for who also produced music already, creates is completed by the classic highs he uses. Santos great feat is to take the atmosphere of the original and keep its originality. This driving remix on the b-side makes this release to a must have of every dj who want to be kept in the minds of the crowd.

Support by : Michel de Hey, Axel Bartsch, Laurent Garnier, Chris Coco, Detroit Grand Pubahs, Harri, Slam, Nico de Caglia, Rob Mello , Terry Mitchell,

Andro & Dimit are responsible for some of the most interesting and well refined techno on the market, it’s great to have them back on a full E.P loaded with their low slung bass grooves and trademark arpeggios. Kalimba opens the release and comes in three versions, all with a unique vibe and presence.

The original paints a picture of melodic fantasia that floats through haunting clouds of sound, whilst Sven Jozwiak and Mert Yalciner deliver a more driving and peak time interpretation under their S.M.E.R.T guise, it really is magical. Alberto Sola had phenomenal success on Valencia´s Barraca Music label alongside AFFKT with ´Big Cake´ last year, we now have him on solo remix duty for No Dough. A tech house cut that thumps along with added vocals and clever drum programming.

Trust (Version 1) plays a solid role on the E.P, again loaded with jittering melodies throughout, all backed up with a smooth subby groove. This easily explains why Jeff Bennet has the hots for these two on his Kung Fu Dub imprint. Version 2 is exactly that, an unreleased alternative take on the first, maintaining the core elements but with a dubbier vibe, and only available to members of the No Dough community.

Mind Games closes the release up nicely in true Andro & Dimit style, made for very large sound systems this track unravels effortlessly with time and will work its way down your ear canals to scar your eardrums, in a good way of course.

French massive stand to attention! This is some seriously slamming serious filtered big room action! The mysterious Vanilla Ace dashes 2 pieces of Saturday night ant...hem action into one sweet EP and Nod Factor can do nothing else but put it out and watch the carnage unravel in front of them!<b> ‘Bebe Bush’ [/b]is slightly Daft Punky in areas and you can tell Mr Ace owes a few production tricks to the French gods of all things filtered and chopped! ‘Chillin’ is ace and is not too far off the wicked Ducksauce banger ‘aNYway’ Not to say it doesn’t stand alone, because it does and it’s a very strong stand alone track too! Big beats, smart samples, clever production…a wicked little 2 tracker to make your Saturday night go with a bang(er)…tres bien!

[Curle026] scratched notes - Stewart Walker
upcoming release on Curle Recordings / Curle 026 // Scratched Notes // Stewart Walker

Atrist: Stewart Walker
Title: Scratched Notes
Number: CURLE026
Label: Curle Recordings
Release Date: 5. April
Format: 12“
Style: MNML - Techno

Tracklisting:

A1 Stewart Walker - Scratched Notes
A2 Stewart Walker - Shipwrecked
B Stewart Walker - Particular People

Info:

We're jumping straight from Curle 024 to Curle 026 because number 025 will be a special label compilation - more about that soon! We have the honour to present the first Curle from Stewart Walker, a longtime hero of ours. He started his career on the mythical Detroit label Matrix, did some stuff for Force Inc, Tresor, Mille Plateaux and Minus, before founding the amazing Persona imprint. Since then he has done very few releases on other labels, so we are very proud about this one. All three tracks on this EP live and breathe the deep melodic minimal sound Stewart Walker got known for, but - without wanting to brag too much - we really believe 'Scratched Notes' is among the very best music he has ever released. We hope you like it as much as we do!

16 Steps - The Label

Concept:
The 16 Steps Music Production School in London is proud to present the first release on its in-house label. Built around the success of many of its students Worldwide, the label is to feature original work and remixes created solely by students and close friends of 16 Steps.

Nik Frattaroli - Home
Label: 16 Steps
Released: March 21st 2010

1. Nik Frattaroli - Home
2. Home (Alex Parsons Remix)

DJ Download:

Nik’s debut release on 16 Steps combines mellow and dreamy chords with heavier percussion and a deep tonal bass, with detuned synth stabs creating a tense atmosphere. These carefully selected elements emulsify into a perfect house track suitable for any hour.

16 Steps head tutor Alex Parsons delivers the remix, complimenting the original’s lush chords with fluttering harmony, complex percussion and a deep sub bass. The musical journey peaks after the breakdown, introducing a funkier moog bassline and shimmering percussion.

TechnoPassion 007
George le Nagelaux - Brassbound EP

A1 Iron Vein
A2 Redemption (Concrete DJz Rmx)
B1 Brassbound
B2 Arms Race

Label: TechnoPassion
Catalog#: TP007
Format: Vinyl, 12" + mp3/wave
Country: Austria
Style: Techno
Release date: 01/10

So the Vinyl is out now!

TechnoPassion continues to gain strength in the new year with “Brassbound EP”, a top-notch fourtracker. If someone thinks Detroit is dead, he should better listen to “Iron Vein” and he’ll be disabused. The track, packed with interesting melodies and diversified rhythms, is spreading the real vibe! Number A2 was made by Serbia’s infamous techno crew Concrete DJz, who layed their hands on Nagelaux’s 2008 hit track „Redemption“ and created a really deep and driving remix of the original. The next one is “Brassbound”, a track solid like steel. Always moving forward and bass heavy this monster lives up to it's name and is only something for those of you who are really brassbound! The fourth of the bunch is “Arms Race”, a unstoppable tune that accelerates like a tank and doesn’t think about slowing down!

Craig McWhinney (Global Underground/Haul Music/Nightshade, Australia)

"Holy shit, this is fucking awesome. Epic work on getting Tarrida to mix it!!! Real hop'n'skip tune. I'm giving the hydraulics in my office chair a workout with the bounce. Damn straight this needs to be on vinyl. And everyone needs to own a copy!"

"Steve Stoll remix is doing the business for me - and Dave Tarrida's is lush as FUCK!!"
