Does anyone know where I can download some more episodes of the Bunker podcast series? Both Jus-Ed's and Derek Plaslaiko's are amazing. Something like this site which was posted for the CLR podcast would be amazing - I'd prefer to get them as mp3s.
Releasing on his own imprint, Novel Sound, and a label that he co-runs with Anthony Parasole called Deconstruct, he's seen his star rise over the past six months to a level that he likely never would have predicted when he was working at Halcyon, making sandwiches and working the register. Vincent, like the others, has had a long history in New York, but perhaps the most formative experience was working at designer Pat Fields' shop in the mid-'90s. It was there that he saw many of the wild characters that made up the local dance scene up close and personal. He was even booked to play The Limelight for the first time the night that notorious club owner Peter Gatien was hauled off to jail on federal drug charges.
There is another excellent Fred P set available thanks to modyfier.

New York-based house artist Fred Peterkin, AKA Fred P, will release his next album this December through his own label, Soul People Music.
The Incredible Adventures of Captain P will be Peterkin's third album to date, following two full-lengths under his pseudonym Black Jazz Consortium—the most recent of which, Structure, landed in our Top 20 Albums of 2009. In the year and a half since that release, Peterkin has continued to perfect his hypnotic deep house sound on a series of 12-inch releases, including mini-compilations with artists like Move D, Jus Ed and DJ Qu. Though loyal to his signature sound, The Incredible... breaks the mold a bit, throwing in ambient, left-field and even some hip-hop style beats. The album will be initially released on CD and later on vinyl and digital. If you're lucky, you might be able to pick one at one of Fred P's upcoming club dates.

It looks like Fred P's The Incredible Adventures of Captain P" has been released*.
Get in quickly because Fred's albums and other Soul People Music releases are notoriously undersupplied.
I say looks like because I bought it from a Discogs seller last night but cant find it on amazon or any online retailer.
This news may interest some of the followers of this thread (fucking tumbleweeds in the House forum unless you are talking about Carter/Sneak/Farina/etc drive me crazy).
Murk were prolific throughout the 90s producing house records for their own label, Stryctly Rythm and Tribal/Twisted. Their signature raw drums, dark/booding synths and gritty diva vocals gave them access to commercial markets as well as the more underground ones. I think, as is generally the case, they lost some credit for the pure quality of their releases because the commercial success they had. If you want dark, tribalish garage/house music then it doesn't come any better than these guys.
There is to be a vinyl only release of their new single Amame on Nervous Records. It will be followed up some time in the next 12 months with a new Murk album. I think we can expect that the new Murk project will be a deep and soulful "back to our roots" journey which should protect it from some of the more horrible commercial elements of the Miami house scene.
Check out the sample in the Murk thread (linked above) if you are interested.
01 Gabriele Bruno - Message From The Space [Nbg Music]
02 Luciano - Fochedrem [Cadenza]
03 Alland Byallo - Rising Sun [Hallucination Limited Promo]
04 Shed - Final Experiment [Ostgut Ton]

06 Stefny Winter - Echinodon (Flourish Remix) [Archipel Music]
07 Gideon & Rob H - Don't Hold Back [White Label]
08 Ultratubes - Random Fast (Gadi Mizrahi Remix) [Pv / Unreleased]
09 Night Plane - Str8 2 Ur Heart [Ccc]
Edit: absolute quality from 03. (I wonder if that was intended) through to 09. Something I've come to expect from guys like Three is that the flow tends to be all over the place. This is no exception and it works beautifully.

This is probably the exciting part:

2010 was a busy year for you as a DJ, what does 2011 have in store? I hear you’re set for another busy one…
Yes, I am working right down to the bone lately. I have several releases for this year. It feels good. I took a year off after I found success in 2009- something some folks said I was crazy to do… but i did it anyway. I was a little bit wary of being a "flavor of the month" when I was releasing all those records, so I decided to chill for a minute. Longevity is probably the most difficult thing to achieve in a musical career. But I have a long life ahead and I plan to spend it playing music and making records. Even with the break in releases, I never stopped writing tunes- so now I am sitting on some new sounds which will start rolling out this spring. I also began a Novel Sound Promotional Series of Mp3s, which can be shared by various clubs and blogs who have shown interest in the label and DJing styles. The series is called Ministry of Novel Sound Promoganda!
I did volume 1 myself, and it is my submission to you on this day. Thanks for having me on the blog, see you soon.
Also have a listen to this slammin set from the man.

What we were they are now, what we are now they will be
Although it seems like his name has only risen to prominence in the past few years, New York City's Fred P. (a.k.a. Black Jazz Consortium) is no newcomer. After quietly logging time and paying his dues in the New York DJ circuit, the man began turning out deep, thoughtful, jazz- and soul-infused house that eventually caught the ear of artists like Move D and DJ Jus-Ed. Most of Fred P.'s output has been released on his own Soul People Music imprint, although he's also dropped singles on labels such as Underground Quality, Strength Music, and Esperanza. We here at XLR8R have actually been pestering Fred P. to put together an exclusive mix for our podcast series for quite some time, so we're thrilled that he's finally delivered. His mix goes deeper than many of our previous offerings, but that's the idea. It's a wonderfully curated, impeccably mixed, and intrinsically soulful listen that is nonetheless well-suited for the dancefloor. Essentially, it's a perfect example of what Fred P. is all about.

Yeah, I like the sound of Making Headway and No Regrets but didn't find my self taken by Man or Mistress.
It is hard to get the proper feeling without hearing it all though...
The EP isn't Invisible Bitchslap (it is always going to be tough to compare anything to a release of two of the best house tunes in memory) but it is pretty solid.
This set was recorded live at The Bunker in Brooklyn on August 19, 2011. This is The Bunker founder and resident Spinoza opening for Marcel Dettmann. Although it is getting far more difficult to get artist permission to podcast these recordings from our events, we will do our best to revive The Bunker Podcast.
This crosses the boundries of house and techno... and because it was recorded at the bunker in NYC I thought this thread would be the ideal place.
A staple of Montreal’s club scene, Tazz has – according to a recent interview with Little White Earbuds, anyway – been DJing for over 15 years, but it was only last year that he released his first record, after booking Chicago house stalwart Jus Ed and sending him some tracks. Ed was smitten, and released Tazz’s ‘Acid Love’, a bumping deep house epic that instantly pricked up FACT’s collective ear.
Tazz has released three singles since ‘Acid Love’, and he seems to improve with each one. The experience that he picked up producing tracks for himself, close friends and his hard-drive particularly comes through on his recent series of ‘Underground’ tracks: masterpieces in dusty jacking house and techno, produced with a slight of hand that lends them a perfect balance between heavy-duty professionalism and a certain naive exuberence.
His FACT mix is every bit as masterful as his recent 12″s; one of the best house producers to emerge in the past two years in full control.
