I've just splashed out on a pair of Wolverine 1000 mile boots, arriving this week...

Was wondering if anyone in Melbourne has had a topy put on a pair of boots before, similar to the below & can recommend somewhere good that will do this?

The topy is the half black rubber sole that's been added to the bottom of the leather boot

Please welcome a new member of this thread. After a whole lifetime of relative indifference to shoes, I've recently come to appreciate their awesomeness and and the value in having more than just a casual pair and a nice pair

Just got these when I went into Hype yesterday. They're the comfiest things I've ever worn! I also want to get the darker pair below, tried them both on for ages deciding.

Also got these for dressing up but when I want to go a little more casual than leather shoes.

Oh yeah...

Vans > Cons.

Deck shoes with such a high ankle defeat the purpose of deck shoes. Then again who actually goes on a boat in Australia anyway? No one, so they wear deck shoes for fashion reasons only, not work/safety.
