Fresh, Alternative, Unique, Buzzword - DJing. Help me choose a new path.
Hello DJ Booth. Long time no see.

I used to be fairly active in here. I developed a coke habit that meant i had to sell my body on the street which took up most of my time so i haven't been around. That or i got bored with mixing and stopped.

Anyway i want to start playing music again. But i don't want CDJ's and i don't want to play on wax.

i also don't want to push play Traktor and stand there like an idiot for 6 minutes. I might as well just be making an itunes playlist if i'm gonna do that.

There have been heaps of new technologies emerge since i stopped paying attention. People are launching clips like mad-men. There's the launchpad with 10 million buttons. I saw Bodzin using like 12 ipads for god-knows-what during a liveset.

I'm also aware of people doing shit like this which is way beyond what i expect to be able to achieve:

Media Player

There must be some middle ground tho? Between that and tradition mixing?

Anyway with all this in mind can we discuss some new more innovative approaches to playing music?

Perhaps point me in the direction of something i might like to buy?
fffffffff

As crazy as that stuff looks, there's a lot of prep work. The gap between djing and live performance is very much narrowed, but if you want to play sounds more like you're playing an instrument, you kinda have to build the instrument first.
