Both those matches at MSG are on the same day. The basketball is on at 1pm then they set the hockey rink up after the game for the ice hockey to start at 8pm. Heh!

passport arrived today with my vietnam visa. only posted it to them on monday

it did cost me $28 to send it platinum express post though. but gg embassy for turning it around in 1 day.

i rocked up at the laos/cambodian border and just paid $25 and filled out a form. mind you, that is in the middle of nowhere the the 'border' is a boom gate with a little shack next to it



that's looking back into laos.

if you do thailand first, then enter laos from the north and get a slow boat down the mekong to luang pra bang. that was one of the highlights of my last SEA trip. unfortunately i didn't get to spend much time in laos so i only really did the boat trip, luang pra bang, vang vieng and don det. all super cool places. i've heard vientienne is pretty lame, i only passed through it.

cambodia... i came down from the north and went to siem reap for a bit. temples are fun and there's a good bar scene. then i got caught in the sihanoukville vortex for a while which was fun. if you go to sihanoukville i recommend an overnight trip (or a few nights if you have time) to rabbit island. however i was there in september and only 1 place was actually open. but it was magic.



that was the view from my $8 a night bungalow (2 beds, $4 each )

i did phnom penh for a bit, it's actually a pretty cool city.
