I think he'll lose his last match. WWE very rarely sends out retiring stars with a win, think of matches like Hogan vs Rock, JBL vs Mysterio, Flair vs HBK or the numerous people Taker has retired. That's why the Edge situation was so rare, if they knew his neck was fucked they'd have had him drop the belt to Alberto Del Rio at Mania.

I reckon the streak will keep running till he's ready to call it a day then he'll break it and put someone over. Plus there are numerous interviews out there where Taker says he doesn't really care if the streak is broken one day, it's WWE that have made the big fuss about it -- not him.

So what did you gents think of Mania? Wasn't one of the better ones for me. CM Punk vs Taker was not a bad match, but it wasn't on par with Takers previous matches. Not any real drama in the match at all. Brock Lesnar vs HHH was pretty decent because Lesnar slapped him around like a bitch for the large part, but you knew that after losing at the last two Mania's there was no way that Brock would win. He's just jobbing for the money these days, doesn't have the ego to win. Rock vs Cena was total dogshit, such a boring match with the end never in question.

Mania really needs to bring back the gimmick matches to break up the headline acts. Something like a TLC match or MITB. Or even just put one of the smaller belts like the Intercontinental or American belt on the line with a ladder match. This year was just too many marquee 1 on 1 matches that didn't deliver.

it was so shit, every match was predictable. hhh was always gonna win, cena was always gonna win, taker was always gonna win.

raw the next night was so good. always is after mania. crowd were well into it. boo'ing cena. chanting ryback big time when he smashed him. not even taking notice of the sheamus orton match and chanting for the big show and "thankyou big show" when he came out. humming fandango's theme song. and the crowd marking out big time when ziggler came out to cash in MITB. it was just awesome. we only get to see the true wwe fans once a year and thats at that raw.

as for the future, the rock's last mania will be v lesnar next year. cena will most likely go up against taker. taker's last mania (WM30), he will win the title then retire. leaving an open title and they can do more with the storyline for that.

the shield, would like to see them forge into tag team action. they can be good. and ambrose is so good on the mic and in character.
punk, not so sure. i know he injured himself in the taker match and will be set for another title challenge later in the year but next feud, not sure.

the thing with the quirky matches that they come up with is that if it is halfway successful then they will make a whole PPV dedicated to it. appreciated that we didnt have to sit through any rubbish divas matches, although id have liked that more than the fandango match.

triple h is the only one that can make a rivalry really work these days, all the others look like half assed attempts.

hhh cant make rivalries work since he got on the board. whenever he puts himself into a rivalry its all about him and his glory and no one elses. you'll never see him lose another match again cuz of this. he should just retire and take over the company already.

I've never liked the new outdoor huge WMs. They just don't translate to TV very well and the crowd noise just gets lost.

triple h will never put himself in a match he will lose. not when he is only wrestling once a year. he is one of maybe 2 superstars (cena the other one) who can say yes or no to his storyline and outcome of matches (cena only cuz he is the biggest on the roster and the kids love him).

agree. sound escapes so easy. some people that were there said it was better live but on tv so much is edited (sound including) that it just does get lost.
