High quality and accessible music...it is music that would have a much broader appeal if people would just listen to it.

In general, the Essential Mix just mirrors the overall decline in the audience for this sort of music at the commercial underground level.

im not sure how I feel about that tracklist... jamie xx and skrillex 3 songs apart.... pendulum and photek... some deep and moody dnb, and some utter gash...even a daft punk track. seems a bit all over the place. anyone had a listen yet?

I haven’t had a listen, I just copied the tracklist from the radio 1 site so i am assuming its correct, there looks like there is a little cool techno bit in the middle there but then it jumps to Nero, Skrillex and Redlight. I't doesn’t look like my cup of tea.

the Brookes Brothers did a guest mix on Annie Nightingales show or Bailey's maybe, I cant remember really, and absolutely killed it. This EM has a few strong points, but overall feels a bit disjointed. Still a good listen, but by no means the best Ive heard from them.

Also, not sure if this has been posted before, but I use Er7 Radio for all my EM needs, has the option to stream which is good for me at work. Also has a lot of Annie Mac's/Pete Tong's shows.

He got his first gig at high school in 1985. He established himself touring with Derrick May around Europe in the early nineties. He released music on legendary techno labels like Transmat and his own label, Black Flag, which he resurrected last year. And he remains at the cutting edge as a DJ, with storming sets at Pacha and Cocoon in Ibiza this summer.
