He's clearly just using it as a stepping stone to Real Madrid.

Orient to make a serious promotion push either that or West Ham to go down again so there can be a proper east end derby.

Anyone watching Brazil against ROmania? It's ronaldos testimonial match and they have sent him on in place of Fred for the final 15mins of the first half. Looks like he has been in a decent paddock. Has had three glorious chances, two saved, one sent into the bleachers! Reckon he will knock off 6 pies at half time.

I doubt there are many football league players in that game unless Fat Ron is planning a swansong in Leyton...

Chris Burke going from Cardiff to Birmingham, would suggest that Larsson is off from the Blues.

And Wenger signs some 19yo kid from Charlton... say what...?

Fixture list comes out next Friday

Likewise, I'm back from 2nd Dec to 20 Dec, hoping for maybe three or four games.

Palace are somehow still in the Championship after two very hairy seasons.

I'll settle for mid-table this season, and doing the double over the scum of Brighton.

Looks like we'll lose Neil Danns on a free and may cash in on young guns Nathaniel Clyne and Wilf Zaha (both linked to several top EPL teams for several million).

Some good news- looking like we'll sign South African international Kagisho Dikgacoi permanently from Fulham, was a rock on loan in the second half of last season.

Might be able to get in some games this season too- may be in Europe in March/April rather than in the summer as always. Palace v Brigton and Selhurst? Yes please
Muscat admitted after the grand final loss to Sydney FC last month that he would be haunted for some time for sending his spot kick into the post, a miss which helped Sydney claim the championship.

I have one weekend in August.

If there isn't a home game, might just make my way up to the local for old times sake.

In lower league news Rushden & Diamonds are gone...seems all the dodgy financials have caught up with them.

Newcastle tried to sign larsson in the January window, but either a fee couldn't be met or the blues couldn't find a replacement - I would perhaps suggest he will be in black and white next season. long winded way of agreeing with you....

McClaren has a hell of a lot to prove at Forest...behind his Twente success and 'Brough cup run there is the failure at Wolsfburg, and his attempt at the England job...

The Championship looks like a hell of a comp this year...18 sides have Premier League experience, Leeds, Hammers, Forrest, Derby, Reading, Ipswich, Leeds etc etc...plus you have two former England managers, and now one that was billed for the job...with the EPL top 10 so far from the grasp of most clubs, the Championship is proving to be one hell of a competition with most teams capable of ending in the top 2. Looking forward to it.

First up against Chesterfield at home...
Will get the MK Dons game at home in December... Stevenage away may be a bit tricky. Land on the 3rd which is second round of the FA Cup, so fingers crossed on that one...

Paul Ince in line for the Birmingham job - oh the hilarity

Can't believe I now have to post in this thread. Oh the shame.

Bayern Munich are in negotoiations to sign our wunderkind, Dale Jennings (League One apprentice of the year).

Yes, that Bayern Munich. http://www.tranmererovers.co.uk/page...380178,00.html

Hopefully we'll get some wedge to buy a keeper. Make a change to start the season with someone in nets who doesn't need his nappy changing at halftime.

Could it get any worse?

Anyhoo, TRFC signed five players this week* and a new physio. (Four of which were on loan/ at the place towards the end of last year.)

Forza Rovers.... 2 from 2. Exceeding all expectations to date. Obviously having a remotely capable goalkeeper signed on for the start of the season does help.

(and let's all laugh at Leeds... again)

After dropping the first game of the season Palace have now won two on the bounce.

Left it late this morning though... 0-1 down to Coventry after 89 mins, ended up winning 2-1

Also saw that Jedinak made his debut for us, 31 minutes off the bench.
Muscat admitted after the grand final loss to Sydney FC last month that he would be haunted for some time for sending his spot kick into the post, a miss which helped Sydney claim the championship.

It doesn't look like they need him after hammering Forest. Quite frankly a team with Carlton Cole and Kevin Nolan should be promoted by February.

Our promising start to the season continues apace, with an apparently convincing 2-0 win at Uwe Rosler's Brentford (who scored 5 last time out).... Mind you, still only August.

Just as long as West Ham collapse into a heap, I'll be satisfied.

Possibly, but over the course of the season he'll play and he needs to take his opportunity when it comes. Yes West Ham do have enough quality players to get promotion, but thats never stopped them fucking up in the past!

Tranmere are looking ok so far and the MK Dons are on fire. Very happy with their progress so far. I just hope they have enough depth up front. They seem to lose all the strikers they get every year.

Palace threw away a 2-1 lead to lose 2-3 against Leeds. Awful marking for all three Nasty Leeds goals.

Still- we're playing well enough in attack and shouldn't have relegation fears this season. Might even push for a playoff spot

4-3 win over Portsmouth and sitting ok in 4th.

Second round of London riots will begin in south London on Saturday afternoon when Millwall host the Hammers.
There is pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more.... Lord Byron
