Godskitchen 2011: A Trance Odyssey . Sun 02 October

3 ... 2 ... 1 ... Lift Off!

Godskitchen 2011 – A Trance Odyssey is coming, Australia.

Trance ... the final frontier ... a swirling galaxy of pulsating sound, electrifying energy and writhing mass. Deep in these far reaches of blissful melody, intergalactic euphoria and bass-driven antimatter a lone, technologically superior vessel travels majestically at the speed of sound. Forever in search of life, liberty and the future of music on Earth as we know it, its mission transcends space and time. These are the voyages of the star ship Godskitchen ...

Let the Trance Odyssey begin!

Crewed by a handpicked selection of the planet’s leading Trance DJs and fuelled by a high octane blend of the most premium beats, gravity-defying build-ups and epic breakdowns in the known universe, brace yourselves Australia ... because Future Entertainment is proud to announce that Godskitchen is headed your way at warp speed for one very special mission in star date 2011!

Armed with mind-bending cosmic lasers, astronomical AV shows and crystal clear sound production that’s light years beyond anything you’ve ever experienced before, Godskitchen is re-entering our atmosphere with a celestial dance experience that promises to have you reaching for the stars all night long.

For the last 14 years, the Godskitchen juggernaut has been traveling to Australian shores and delivering unforgettable arena parties. Featuring massive lineups sparkling with the world’s biggest DJ stars, and boasting awe- inspiring décor, world-class lighting/laser racks and state-of-the-art effects; ‘GK’ events, as they’re affectionately known have become a deliciously regular and highly-anticipated fixture on the local ‘special event’ calendar.

This time around, in 2011, Godskitchen and Future Entertainment are teaming up to deliver a stellar show that gets back to basics and pays direct homage to the halcyon nights of GK’s past.

That’s right, there’s no White theme, no Boombox, no 3D ... just four of the most meteoric Trance DJs in the Milky Way – Marco V, Richard Durand, John Askew and Ben Gold - and a glittering constellation of premium quality sound, lighting and event production.

Stay tuned for more information from Future Entertainment’s mission control. Godskitchen 2011 – A Trance Odyssey – beaming down to earth soon!

Hot! Nice work guys. Lineup is quality IMHO. All solid styles - no weak fluff or mainstream stuff. Godskitchen's definitely appealing to the more pure trance fans. Askew will destroy all!! I'm there.

Lots to live up to after last year event. Marco V, Richard Durand, John Askew and Ben Gold will make it happen - this is a line up not to be missed.

I'm in.

Big!

Hopefully Marco V plays his older stuff, rather than his new trousey jazz. As with Ben Gold, let's hope he brings the rough stuff.

Couldn't agree more and don't think he alone is worth the money. Pity- I remember great GK parties like the one back at Space, epic night that was... But Marco V and Richard Durand? Both hard to endure in my eyes, can't stand their style- I take either nice uplifting trance or proper hard techno over their strange techy trance mix mash any day.

Not bad, not good...
Marco V would be great to see again, but they're all acts that have been out here before.
Would be nice to see some "new to Australia" type acts. Richard Durand should be pretty sweet too

I couldn't really have hoped for a much better lineup. All really good performers and all really different from each other. Good to see you guys bringing out different styles rather than a whole bunch of Armin clones.
Nice Work!

Totally up for this!! Ben Gold was high on my wishlist *hoping* for a tour, wish granted I love his podcast, I'm expecting big things having never seen him before

Askew will kill it.

Marco V will be interesting to see what he plays... and Durand is solid.

oh, and Scott Richardson for the sydney local support act, pretty please?

It's ok I suppose, not a lineup to get me salivating and coming soon after A&B not sure the pockets are deep enough.

Still tho will bear it in mind.

Here's John Askew absolutely fucking tearing it up:
John Askew - Live @ Lampioncki 2011 -Slovenia 2011.05.17
http://www.sendspace.com/file/kettcn

1.Underworld “Cowgirl” (John O’Callaghan mix)
2.John Askew “Giving you Acid” (Sly One vs Jurrane remix)
3.Mallorca Lee “Yalday” (Gary Maguire remix)
4.Paul Oakenfold “Tokyo” (Beatman & Ludmilla remix)
5.Blazer “Toxic Girl” (Beatman & Ludmilla remix)
6.John Askew “Z List Uber Star”
7.Matt Skyer “Bad Trip”
8.ID.ID
9.Tom Colontonio “Nighthawk”
10.ID.ID
11.88 to the Piano (Fabio Stein remix)
12.Gary Heaney “Zegema beach” (Askew re-edit)
13.“Detroit”
14.G8 “****ing Words Don’t mean ****”
15.Omega Drive “**** the Stealers”
16.Photographer “Highway”
17.Paul van Dyk “Tell me Why” (John Askew remix)
18.“Who is in The House”
19.Alex kenji & Star Killers “Pressure”
20.Astrix “Feel LSD” (Askew rework)
21.John Askew “Blackout” (Simon Patterson remix)
22.Abstract Vision & Elite Electronic “Echoes” (Protoculture remix)
23.John Askew “The Witch”
24.John Askew “Torture Chamber”
25.ID.ID

That's basically me wanting a ticket just for that. Plz give him a 2hr set? Start the internationals at 10 or cut time off that soft-cock Ben Gold to make sure Askew has 2hrs of annihilation to deliver.

Why so many DJ's? (ajnd it says in small print "PLUS MANY MORE")
It's Trance, where's time for the journey?
The Hordern is only 1 room.
Most people would prefer 1 less international and give the remaining three 2 hours each, plus some locals.
Why do promoters keep doing this to us?

Maybe they will use City Live or whatever it will be called by then by the new owners.

I dunno about Marco being so late - his BPM is lower than everyone else and would probably cause a fair drop in energy - unless he decides to miraculously go back to playing 140bpm banging tech trance.

I think it's a great line up. There's something there for everyone and especially Askew as everyone's said. Been a great year for Aussies with uplifiting/progressive artists venturing out so cannot wait.

Very reasonable price. I'm sick of these damn over $150 festivals. It's a bit ridiculous.

I'm really liking the trance scene this year. Top DJs at very intimate clubs at like $25 or something. Just makes it so much more about the music

id say Above & Beyond as well as a trance heavy Stereo lineup would have dampened ticket sales for this

doesn't matter will be rocking out to John Askewwww
